Grantland article on Josh Howard with Corbin quote

Howard said nice things about Utah:

“A lot of people think Utah is a bad place to play, but hell nah,” Howard said. “That fan support is so crazy up there. You have a home-court advantage there, a serious one.”

Of all the things one could write about in sports right now, Grantland thought an article on Josh Howard seemed newsworthy?

Writer's pitch: I've got some great insight on a former NBA all-star and some contacts that discuss his life and offers some great perspective. Would be a great piece.

Editor: Write about Johnny Football

Poor form, Serpico.

At this moment in time...Ty Corbin and Josh Howard rank behind crochet knitting and underwater basket weaving, in terms of things that are important in my life. Just wanted to share...

Word up bro

If nothing else, Josh Howard's endorsement of Utah led to Trevor Booker's signing even though he had other offers on the table.

Have you talked to any friends in the league that have played in Utah?
Josh Howard. Josh, he played here, I think, for a year. But he loved the city, so I’m sure I can love it too.

"Booker, drafted with the 23rd pick in the 2010 draft out of Clemson, said he had offers from four other teams.
But an endorsement from his friend and former Jazzman Josh Howard, combined with an intriguing mix of young talent, helped Booker settle on the Jazz."

Don't post positive stuff in here. This is a Corbin bashing thread.
