2014 *Current Players* NBA Fantasy Draft

I made a similar post before the all time players draft started. But was shot down. I'm all for it.

I would suggest do the draft, then start a separate one round draft for a coach and re-randomize it again. Thoughts?

If you are going to pick coaches then definitely do another darft lottery

I disagree. I've got at least 8 coaches that I like that I'd have slated at different spots in the draft. If you don't want to burn a pick early on one, then use your last pick on the best one left. It doesn't really matter that much. Opening it up to any coach still alive increased the value of the endeavor quite a bit IMO.

I think this makes sense. We can then know the best coach to pick for who is on our rosters. But I'm good either way.

Kind of agree.. it's all subjective enough as it is. But whatevs works bros.

We're doing 10 rounds.

9 players and 1 coach.

You can pick any coach still alive, and you can pick a coach in any round.

See the OP for the draft order (WC got the #1 pick and traded it to Ellis, btw).

That sounds like a good plan. Am I okay to make the first pick yet?

There is no way to make this 100% fair, and since it's an utterly inconsequential contest, I don't see why it matters. I don't even remember how I did last time I played.

I'm taking Steve Kerr as my coach. But he is going to be a player/coach who is also my 3pt specialist.

I just like the coaches because it's a wrinkle that could make it a little more fun and interesting.

Fwiw when I vote coaching won't effect my vote at all probably.

If you have the best, most talented team with Corbin for the coach, you will still get my vote.
