Why does Enes not recieve contract?

I have been wondering when negotiations with enes and alec can begin.
has that time already started?

I think Hayward paved the path for them to take by getting a max contract. There is no way either Kanter or Burks will agree to a new contract unless it's a max contract in my opinion.

There are several precedents that matter: Hayward, Monroe and Bledsoe.

How much do you think the Bledsoe/ Monroe situation will be on the minds of Burks/ Kanter?

Will Kanter/ Burks take "the bird in hand" (say, a $8MM per year offer from the Jazz) or risk free agency and getting stuck in no man's land when teams are out of money after signing top-shelf free agents?

There was a lot of chance in the Hayward contract. If Charlotte would have gone after Stevenson as a primary target, and Cleveland obviously getting Lebron, what other team would have offered him close to a minimax? Hayward was in the right place at the right time, and everybody knows it, including Lindsay, Andy Miller (Burks agent), Max Ergul (Kanter's agent).

Their agents will be playing some game theory with dollars available versus dollars burnt on other signings. Haywards agent played this beautifully, and they got a bit lucky, but next year's game will be different, no doubt.

If they roll the dice, the market will decide their value.

Nice perspective. But the surprise is that there hasn't been even a whisper of negotiations under way. My understanding is that extensions must be signed before the season starts.

I like how the Jazz sit a player on the bench all the way up until its time to do contract negotiations. This is either really stupid because it can make you unsure on what to offer, or its really smart because it holds the players value down so you can get him on the cheap.

except this doesn't happen.

I used to love the JFan appreciation for "earn it". Now I don't know who I loathe more: you sissy assed entitlement pooches or Corbin's play teh vets that enabled you. Grow a pair and get over it ... everyone got a shot last season, dumbass.

but even if they don't earn it, pay them anyways, right?

Does my opinion write the checks?

Dumbass

try to keep up.

I think every player should get the max because Hayward Precedent that's all that matters and the players and agents and management knows it omg it's inevitable why don't we sign everyone to max right now to avoid next year's higher max contract and save money that isn't ours omg lol haha.

I also think Hack's pair is growing inside his mouth.

Enes is not a known quantity (or if he is, his worth is hard to commit a lot of money to, especially if he doesn't pull his head out of his ***). Also, Alec will simply be holding out for the max because why wouldn't he after Hayward got his deal.
