PKM

Chris Paul - Tyler Ennis
Lance Stephenson - Kevin Martin
Rudy Gay - Harrison Barnes
Thaddeus Young - Jabari Parker
Brook Lopez - Spencer Hawes

Siro

Rojon Rondo - Reggie Jackson
Bradley Beal - Dion Waiters
Carmelo Anthony - Tobias Harris
Nene - David Lee
Joakim Noah - Jared Sullinger

Siro's case:

My team has a perfect balance between inside and outside scoring, with each position designed to sync with all others harmoniously, amplifying each others' strengths, and covering for their weaknesses.

Just as importantly, the starting line-up is quite simply the best defensive starting five in the tournament. From the obvious defensive prowess of Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah, to the quick hands and tough hide of Rajon Rondo, this team will be very difficult to score against from any spot on the floor. It is important to note that Rondo was in the conversation for the best PG in the NBA before his injury. I full expect him to be back in the conversation next year.

Not only are the players defensively talented, but they are all ferociously competitive, diving for loose balls, welcoming contact, and being a serious nuisance to their oponents.

Melo will be the heart of the offense, specially now that he has lost weight in anticipation to his full move to the SF position. He will use his outside shot to space the floor and allow Nene to do what he does best in the paint. Defenses cannot focus all their effort on stopping Melo's outside game because Bradley Beal will punish anyone who doesn't pay him the attention he deserves. The backcourt is perfectly able to penetrate and drive, making over-committing a costly mistake.

If more inside scoring is needed, then David Lee is happy to come off the bench and offensively dominate opposing frontcourts. Waiters has remained underrated, even though he has shown considerable improvement each year he's been in the league. Reggie Jackson is one of the most explosive PGs in the NBA, and he will provide the infusion of energy for the second unit. The bench is rounded up by quality young players Tobias Harris and Jared Sullinger, who are both due for a breakout year.

PKM's case:

It's a tough team, tbh.

I dont like either of these teams.

I dont like siros team less doe

Felt there was more of a team concept on PKM's team

The concept is a bunch of guys that are better in theory than in practice. On offense and on paper, I can see it, but he has two unknown quantities, several just-bad chemistry guys, and more 0 defense players than he should have to in a fantasy draft.

I'm just not seeing the players on Siro's team playing all that well together either. But at least they'll play exceptional defense as a team. He also has the best scorer of the 20 players there on top of that.

No offense to anybody.

Why would anyone choose to have Thaddeus Young as a starting PF in a fantasy draft only involving 14 teams?

Also not sure why David Lee isn't starting over Nene.

I know Lee has a reputation as a poor defender, but he did pretty good alongside Bogut defensively.

I just don't like David Lee, and he's earned his **** reputation on D, but at least he rebounds. Something Nene is curiously and exceptionally poor at.

Brooks Lopez is probably the worst rebounder in the history of 7'ers who are actually really good at basketball.

I'd like to believe that Brooklyn went on their tear after Lopez got injured but that simply is not true.

Well, I guess I have a weakness for Joakim Noah. I also have a thing for Jabari Parker, but it has yet to grow in my heart.

I can say that it is closer than it looks in the poll results. PKM's players are fundamentally built for the game. Would be a close one.

.... you make me wonder what else grows in your heart.

Y'all better stop hating on Brook Lopez. He's gonna do some big things this year until he gets injured.

He's not a black hole. He passes when he's doubled. When he's not doubled he normally shoots because he's a bawse post isolation player. When one is a bomb scorer it doesn't make much sense to pass. He's like a super big Al. Brooklyn had like three games where everyone was healthy last season. They were running things through Brook and spacing out Johnson, Dwill, and Pierce. Garnett was able to be an adequate defender in the post to protect Brook a little on that end. That lineup was a thing of beauty, too bad it didn't work out. But did anyone seriously think that lineup would make it through the season healthy? Anyway, I know everyone on JFC hates Brooklyn because they're a big market and spend lots of money.

tl;dr Brook Lopez made Favors his bitch last year. Big time.
