I'm seeing way more positivity than negativity since the start of preseason
 
I wasn't even being negative if you actually read my post through your deluded blood hazed eyes. I just realistically view the team as I see them. They will be fun to watch even during the bad stretches. But they aren't going to take the league by storm. And anyone who has been around long enough to know me knows I'm no debby downer and I'm not just sitting around hoping they fail so I can "told you so" to everyone. I'm hoping I'm completely wrong and I will happily chow down on stifle's huge crows. I am actually trying to temper expectations so we can avoid the inevitable fall out and negativity when it turns out we aren't going to go 80-2 and win the championship by default.

I think Jason should up the age requirement from 13 to 14 to get rid of these little cheerleaders.

(brand) New coach (brand) new system (brand) new players. Adding as coach with zero pro coaching experience and a bunch of rookies does not always equal great improvement. I absolutely think (and hope) that QS will be light years better than Corbin, but being realistic what does that mean? We might be better in some aspects of the game, or we should be better in some aspects of the game, if not most. And in other words holy **** do I hope they are better in many aspects of the game. But we didn't add a bunch of seasoned vets and superstars along with a HOF coach. Everyone is new, or young and learning. This tells me that if we equal wins from last season we are doing pretty good. We may fall below as everyone gets acclimated. I sure hope the individual players show improvement. Etc. etc. I am just not holding my breath. I think realistically we could see a step back in wins, but many solid steps forward in building a foundation that will shoot us upwards in years to come. I just don't see that drastic of an improvement for this first season with this new group.
 
Log you are putting way too much stock into this "new coach" thing.


Quin's schemes alone will bump us 10 games from last year. Book it.
 
Budenholzer, Clifford, Hornacek were all "brand new" coaches.

Hollins has eons more experience than Quin-- does that mean that Hollins would have taken our Jazz team to a 10th seed?

I have my strong doubts.

and yes, i was wrong about snyder, maybe he's not the coach that can win it all, but he's perfect the job, for this young team

if we can have a phx like season, this will be huge!

i bought a lp today, so yeah, i'm excited about this season!
