At what point...

As a Jazz fan, whether you're a Sloan fan or a fan that is critical of everyone, including Sloan, you have to ask yourself at what point does Sloan get any blame for what transpires on the court?

Yes, the players, wholeheartedly are bigger part of the basketball team cog, but if the players are more important and more influencing, why do Sloan supporters (apologists) get so nervous about bringing in a new coach? If Sloan can't "motivate" the players and can't make the players rebound the ball, why does it matter who coaches?

In my opinion, the coach, in this case Sloan, is hugely important to the team and influences game play. I mean, maybe not as much as the players, but he's got to take some sort of responsibility...right?

So, here we are watching the Jazz losing to one of the perennial doorstops of the league. The Grizzlies. Not in a close game, but in a pathetic and utterly compromising fashion. 36 games into the season, what seems like the 30th game where the Jazz start out slow and the Jazz have made no lineup adjustments. What do they call it when you continue doing the same thing over and over with the same result but expecting a different outcome?

Insanity?

The Jazz are a mediocre team who are continuing their downward spiral that started 3 seasons ago...

2007 WCF

Getting worse and worse year after year...all with that famed player Bozzer a few of us keep talking about.

So what is it going to be this year? No playoffs? I mean, does it matter?

So, at what point does Sloan get any blowback regarding this team and their obvious lack of preparation?

It shouldn't be Sloan's job to motivate these guys. They are professional athletes. If they can't motivate themselves do you really think Sloan can? If so, how?

Motivating players is the least of the concern right now...in my opinion.

The main premise of this post is when does Sloan take any of the blame for what transpires on the court? Or does it mean that because the team is in Utahr, Sloan is hands off?

Not at all. Sloan gets crap all the time. I think most Jazz fans just know that the Jazz will NEVER fire him. So why kick a dead horse?

He doesn't take any blame. Not his fault the players can't run a simple offense (and no, it's not complicated as some of you Jeffersuck apologists try to make it seem). 23 Turnovers and most teams will lose that game.

The question is, should he?

When the Jazz went from WCF to a FR exit in a matter of three years, was Bozzer to blame or did Sloan have anything to do with it?

Even if Sloan says the offense is complicated our own Sloanfeld takes up for him by saying it is not. Toooooooooo funny. When the handed out commen sense Sloanfeld was standing behing the door. lol

It's not Sloan's fault that great players would rather puke than choose Salt Lake City as a destination to live and play basketball in.

Well the reason they went to the WCF was they got lucky enough to play an 8 seed in the 2nd round and in the meantime the Lakers get Gasol and the Jazz ran into the Lakers.

Every current/former player on TV, if you watch, says that players have been playing with/against the flex offense since gradeschool. But that's cool, some people still can't read in their 20's.

That's all professional head coaching really is. Motivating. Manipulating. call it what you want. How many rings would Phil have if he couldn't motivate? Seriously? Or Pops?

And why is that? Because our seeding sucks year after year. And why is that? Inconsistent play. Lack of accountability. Regression. Gaping holes in team. All things Sloan his hands in.

winning percentage the last 5 years: .622, .659, .585 (Boozer plays 37 games, Dwill 68, Memo 72, AK 67) 646, .648

Have they really regressed?
