What's new

The evidence continues to grow, allmost to rapidly

Count me as someone who was not and got torched for it.
And before I get torched again because I wanted Schroder, read this:

"@AlexKennedyNBA: Dennis Schroder is currently leading the NBA in PER (35.86) by averaging 7.8 points (.733 FG%) and 1.8 steals in 11.5 minutes per game."

I had two scenarios, IIRC. One was to draft Adams and then trade up to get Schroder. The other was to trade back for Schroder and take Gobert at #21. As it turns out, the first scenario was unrealistic as Adams was off the board. I also think the Jazz may have wanted Olynyk but knew he was likely going to be picked at #13 when they made their deal to move up. Have to confess I'm no PG_AB, though. Gobert was on my radar after the Jazz started talking about a great international prospect that everyone else was "sleeping on." It was pretty easy after that to identify Rudy as that guy and learn more about him.

I will say I was very happy Utah got Burke, who I viewed as a much better player than Schroder and then also got Gobert. I really had no strong feelings about Trey vs MCW. And really don't right now, either. Maybe MCW has increased his range, but he was even worse than Trey on 3's last season.

I was hoping for Schroder and Gobert. The Jazz were 1 for 2 in the draft for me.

This last draft I was hoping for Exum and McDaniels. Again, the Jazz were 1 for 2 in the draft. McDaniels has the potential to be a 3 and D and even more. His athleticism is off the charts and so are his defensive instincts.

I like Hood and all but I think that McDaniels would have been a better longterm addition for this team.

^^
McDaniels is off to a good start.
Yes he is. Imagine Exum, Hayward, McDaniels, Favors and (whoever you prefer) as the starters.

Exum and Hayward will keep the offense in tact. Defensively, McDaniels and Favors take the best wing and big man. That seems like a solid starting until to me.

Oh, his shot is falling all right; it's falling short just as it did all last season. I'm not sure where anyone ever got the idea Burke could shoot on an NBA level. Quote the "clutch" last 5 minutes of a game all you want. But the simple fact remains he was 38% last year and is 33% this season. If that isn't the perfect example of going from the proverbial "bad to worse," then I 'm not sure what is. Oh yeah, assists are also down while turnovers are up.

sadly I think this may be the case.....Burke just could never shoot well at all. :(

Interesting stats from last night's game......

Exum: highest +/- with +11

Burke: lowest +/- with -8

(granted, all starters are in the negatives)

dat body language is terribad, dude goes from scowling to hanging his head...

I noticed this last night too.... first time this year I had seen him having bad body language but it was definitely there last night. (It was his worst game of the year so far and he was in foul trouble so I think it was probably appropriate for the situation)

But we do need an experienced PG who could split minutes with Dante, and start if needed.

Dante and diante.
Jk

What would the jazz need to do to bring over neto? How much would it cost and is even possible?
