Treyd idea

I would do the trade not because I don't like Burke (I wasn't as high on him as others). I think he will be a good player in this league.
I would do it because I think Orlando isn't going to make the playoffs so it is another shot at Wiggins.
Orlando wouldn't do the trade anyways.
The poster who wouldn't take Wiggins over Burke is crazy!!!!!

As far as the tweets, no where have I seen or read Burke not wanting to be in Utah. He would be nuts to want to play in Bostion because he wouldn't be starting. He has the starting job already, it is his to lose.

Why are the majority of Jazz fans now wanting to trade Burke because they are whiney little girls who get their feelings hurt if a player doesn't give his soul to the Jazz and SLC. They act like their in middle school and just got broke up with a girl and now they have to thrash her. Not all Jazz fans are like this but many are. Geez people give the kid a chance and at least give him a couple of years before you treat him like thrash.

Don't need an Allstar pg. Hayward, Favors, and Kanter all have a chance to be just that, just need a solid pg. Burke will be that. Burke will make the c4 better. If Burke and the c4 can grow together this will be a dangerous team. Burke is just the leader the c4 need, and the 4 and the two rookies coming in next year are the young talent Burke needs to thrive.

I'm not worried about the so called immature tweeting, as guys like Kobe, and other well established stars send out immature tweets all the time even head coaches. These tweets come from everyone not just Burke.

This. As soon as we get hints that he's reached his ceiling and we can get something better pull the trigger. But as long as there are any signs that he can still improve I say roll with him, same with keeping our 3 bigs in the lineup. You need to try trading him when his 'stock' is the highest.

Careful what you wish you for by trading Burke, you don't want to jump the gun here. It's better to wash a couple dishes after every meal than waiting for all them dirty dishes to pile up and having to clean all the dry **** that sticks to them.

What does that mean in relation to Burke?

AS for reaching his ceiling, I'd argue his trade value might be at a peak right now. He's not going to grow a few inches or suddenly develop blazing speed. His shooting has not improved at all. At least he has a couple of years left on his contract. Another team gets a cheap test drive and has his rights. Story by DL is that Dante is pushing for more playing time and even though we LOVE Trey, we simply have to move him because we can't continue to give our rookie phenom 15 mins/per.

I'm not sure what we are expecting to get from trading Burke. A lotto pick? A late first rounder? A second rounder?

I don't think anyone would take Trey unless we are willing to take on a bad contract/bad personality.

If his value doesn't increase over that by the end of the season they're better off keeping him as a reserve. You don't take back crap for a player you can just cut ties with. Also, if it comes to that point, I'd be in favor of them sending him to Reno and letting him work his way back onto the rosterand a reserve.

I'm going to be optimistic and assume that the Jazz FO is not stupid.

So the only reason that we are still starting Burke and playing him big minutes must be because we want to increase his trade value before the all-star break. It is not because Exum is not ready to start, as some claim. If Exum were to start the only thing that would happen is that he would assume less PG roles and a lot of those responsibilities would be passed to Hayward or Burks. Exum's defense would be greater than Burke's in one on one situations and at least on par in other defensive situations. So we would simply be better off in terms of winning games (but we probably still need to tank).

The question now becomes would could we even get for Burke? I don't think we could get much...
