Milwaukee Buck's shrink calls Exum soft?

I recall him being more aggressive during summer league. I think the Jazz coaching staff is being very cautious about what they ask him to do, particularly during the early part of the season. It's in no one's best interest to see their hopeful star player get body-checked into the 3rd row by players like Andre Drummond and Marc Gasol. This is still a re-build year.

This is what leads me to believe it is really not his mindset, but partly the coaching staff putting some bubble wrap around him which is fine. Just once or twice a game I'd like to see him go to the basket hard.

I'd say his body language looks immature. He looks like a kid out there, swinging his arms and head around like a carefree teenager. He'll be different when he matures. It's also a huge mental adjustment from being a kid playing sports to a pro day in and day out.

It's funny how overly protective about Exum as if he's their newborn son. Listen, from what we've seen, this psychologist is pretty much spot-on. So what's the beef?

Exum may well be soft.
But it's easy for this Bucks psychologist to say this.
Bucks had no intention of ever taking Exum.

It took Gordon Hayward 5 ****ing seasons to finally learn how to play with confidence and we're getting down on a teenaged Exum not even halfway through his rookie season? The irony...

Hayward was a #9 pick in an average draft. Exum was a #5 pick in a loaded draft. The expectations are not the same.
