Our biggest weakness

We just don't have that much talent right now.

Favors has been playing great as of late, Hayward is good, and Rudy is getting better and I love his game, but he doesn't add a lot outside of defense most games. Burke is good at running the offense, but he's an average player at best, and we're starting Joe Ingles. Joe Ingles. Kanter is good offensively, but he's also a blackhole. Our bench is beyond putrid. Exum hardly looks like a basketball player most games. We just don't have talent.

We basically have garbage for a bench outside of Rudy. Here is what the Jazz have let walk away for essentially nothing. Wessley Mathews 16.6 ppg, Sap 16.9 ppg, JYD 11.6 ppg, Foye 8.4 ppg, Al 18 ppg, Marvin 7 ppg and Mo 12.4 ppg and 6.6 assists. The assists is more than any Jazz player. Add these guys to the mix and how would we do?

I think the Jazz have a ton of talent. Some of it is injured right now like Burks and Hood. We simply don't have shooters.

Passing.

We lead the league (by far) in passes and yet we're dead last in the Western Conference in assists. I think that's pretty telling.

We want to be the Spurs but we just don't have the personnel to be them. Ironically the Dubs do. Bogut and Green up front are elite passing big men. And we know Curry is and Thompson as well. Are Favors and Gobert ever going to have a lot of games with 4-5 assists per night? I love these guys but ultimately is our ceiling going to be severely limited because they just don't have innate passing instincts? Because for me personally, true passing isn't really something you can teach.

Discuss.

Our lack of assists has more to do with how slow we play (fewer possessions) than passing talent. I think we have quite a few solid passers. When you play as slow as we do, passing the ball around the floor for 20+ seconds, you are going to have more passes and less assists. A better measure would be assists per possession, which the Jazz currently rank #21 (.213) and are only .003 behind the Raptors who are #16. Thus, we are very close to league average here.

To me there is NO QUESTION what our biggest weakness is.........SHOOTING!

This.
Especially the part about the bench

This draft will be interesting to see where we land. Always take bpa but man I hope that bpa is a shooter that plays some D.

Who are you thinking? Justice Winslow?

You are asking the wrong guy. I couldn't even tell you the single name of a potential draftee. Not my thing. Just saying that I hope there is a good shooting wing that plays D as that seems to be a big problem for the Jazz.

If they were passing to Curry and Thompson, then yes.
