Meh, the Jazz's offense hasn't been horrible. We were 17th in offense two years ago and despite that, were still 30th in defense. Last year, Keyonte, Brice, Sexton, and Cody Williams played like four of the worst defenders in the NBA. Sexton is gone, we'll see how the other guys step up on...

I don't think people know how to rank Kessler because his defenses have been so bad. I think it's mostly because Hardy intentionally minimizes Kessler, but others may blame Kessler for how historically terrible the Jazz have been defensively in his career. It's... really hard to finish 30th in...

It's really hard to tell defensively with any of the guys because the whole is so bad defensively. We really need some defensive focused vets next year to see which parts of the roster are the ones contributing to these terrible defensive ratings.

Hardy plus the tanking make it really hard to evaluate how good any of these guys are at defense, but it's not really encouraging to be staring down three straight #30 finishes in defense. I should look up if that has ever happened before, lol.

Yeah, I think the only way Ace influences if Lauri is traded is if the Jazz cannot get their young players enough shots/minutes with how much overlap all of their top prospects (other than Kessler) have with Lauri.

It very much depends on Ace's development towards winning and what playstyle he develops. Ace has played well in the first two preseason games by... playing like Lauri Markkanen. He's a giant shooter who can score inside and out off screens right now. If he continues to develop along that path...

There is like zero playmaking in this lineup other than Collier, lol. Every Ace-Hendricks-Lauri-Kessler lineup runs into the issue that none of these guys can dribble or pass yet. I would think Filipowski obviously starts over Hendricks just for that reason alone. So I would go with Key Ace...

Keyonte claimed to be 6'4" with a 6'7" wingspan, but refused to be measured at the combine, he was the last person that could refused to be measured as this was changed under the new CBA.

Yeah, it's not great (and that's why his efficiency wasn't great in college), but he's also 18 years old and he's clearly 20-40 pounds away from his final NBA weight so there's some reason for optimism.

Watching over the highlights and Ace's off-ball movement looked really nice last night. Could actually see him filling Markkanen's role when Markkanen is on the bench considering how good Ace is at finishing at the rim.
