    The R.I.P. Thread

A heart as big as gold? All the gold I've seen is pretty small. I mean that's pretty subjective I guess. A gold coin I inherited from my grandfather was as big as a quarter basically, that's a decent sized chunk, but damn small for a heart.

    ESPN Top 25 Under 25

OKC does not carry the Utah stigma. No one ever said "you go play in OKC".

    ESPN Top 25 Under 25

You have to think about it this way: Keyonte plays on the NBA farm team. I mean, how many AAA baseball players are on the list? Yep.

    Netflix recs?

Oh I'm all on on speculative sci-fi. I'm an amateur writer and that's my preferred genre. For the 100 it just didn't get me into the world enough for the whole suspension of disbelief thing to kick in and felt like a high school production being marketed as a cutting edge sci-fi epic, with too...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Blatant and overwhelming arrogance only gets you so far in the hearts of fans, I guess.

    Netflix recs?

Yeah absolutely not a fan of The 100, way too hokey and juvenile, and not juvenile in the "made for kids" way, but seems like the scripts are written by very immature writers. Dialogue is terrible. And good hell, how many times can you cauterize wounds, it's like they have one tool in their bag...

    The New Dark Age

It was a show on Prime I believe. I watched a couple of seasons, it was tough to get into really, despite the great source material.

    Venezuela

No, you are right. We WERE better than this, but then the 70's and 80's happened and big money took full control of the body politic and now we have been under oligarchy rule for the better part of 50 years and this is the final outcome. The frog slowly boiled alive, well we are now in a big pot...

If Lottery Rigging Exist, Aren't the Jazz Safe?

You also forget the owners ultimately control the league. So if it's happening, they are fully aware and likely on board. So who would sue? And they all profit immensely off the gigantic broadcast deals so why would they upend the cart? And exactly what @Saint Cy of JFC said, ultimately it gets...

If Lottery Rigging Exist, Aren't the Jazz Safe?

Exactly, you're seeing it now! They would lose billions if they back the wrong horse. Magic Johnson in Utah? Financial ruin. Magic in LA? Billions. Wemby in Utah? Afterthought until they can get him on a "real" team. Wemby in SA? Revive a storied franchise with a feel-good story and make...

    Netflix recs?

We've been watching "Dying for Sex" and it's crazy good. In lots of ways it's been very hard to watch. The story is about a woman who is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, incurable, who then goes on a journey of self-discovery and finding out what she really wants in a sexual relationship that she...

If Lottery Rigging Exist, Aren't the Jazz Safe?

Y You need to look at value to the league over time. They are not concerned with a single year, when things can get fickle, they care about the long haul. I previously posted an analysis showing the Spurs were like 8th in total revenue, including TV viewership estimates, for the past 20 or 25...
