I'm trying to think of a great country that doesn't value education, science, preparedness for the outbreak of disease, natural disasters, and counting the pennies. Sounds like the path many great or at least very good countries have taken as they descend into religious fundamentalism.

I have a question. Is Waffle House actually good or just a place to go to see a mini riot? I'm in Columbia, South Carolina at the moment and there are two Waffle House locations within 5 miles of me. I'm intimidated to go there by myself and I have very limited personal time.
