He basically had an ****** when they brought up Kuzma.

"I was really impressed with his workout because he came in and showed he really wanted to be a NBA player"

It sounds like Kuzma was one of those two workouts Locke talked about in the radio interview. Every other player Walt had something negative to say, but only said super positive stuff about Kuzma.

Yea, he did seem really impressed with his shooting.

Thanks for that. It's always painful to listen to Zundell and Johnson. Those two are so clueless.

They probably think Jimmer is a better basketball player than Lillard and probably don't even know Lillard played at Weber State.

And we wonder why BYU fans are so dumb. Smh.

Yeah, so much dumber than Utah fans who think Kyle Wilson is better than Dak Prescott.

Cy, since you're his biggest supporter, just wondering if you have concerns about Kuzma's relatively thin body? I look at Leaf and Lydon, who everyone says need to gain strength, and I just don't see that Kuzma has anything over them there. I get his versatility and smoothness, I understand that his motor and rebounding are at least probably NBA functional, and I am willing to be hopeful about his shooting (though that's a major reason why I have him lower than the other stretch PFs on my personal wish list). But it seems like he'll be at at an athletic disadvantage against most NBA PFs, primarily in strength and vertical explosiveness.

I think his body looks fine. It reminds me of Kenyon Martin's. He just doesn't (like you said) have the explosiveness like you said.

Doesn't play winning basketball.

I always hate that argument so I thought I'd be the one to say it this time.

Takes one to know one.

He may not have that elite explosiveness, but he showed he was as strong and athletic enough to hang in the PAC 12. As far as physical traits go he's further along then Leaf or Lydon.

For the record, I have no interest in Leaf or Lydon. I would take Kuzma over both of them. I think you're concerns over Kuzma are a little overstated IMO.

I watched the video..FYI, for those hoping...he doesn't actually blow his load on tv.

Reported for false advertising.

"I'm more comfortable with the NBA 3" Really kid? Then why didn't you back the F up when you shot it in college?

And your free throws kid? Umm let me call my agent,, ahah ok "I'm more comfortable with the NBA free throw..."

Well yeah, he definitely needs to add strength, but I think he has a thicker frame than Leaf/Lydon. It's a concern for sure, but he makes up for it with above average rebounding acumen.

If Walt gushed too much about him that is a sure sign that the Jazz are not drafting him.

Ehh, I think he did the same thing on Lyles for TV two years ago (I might be remembering wrong). All the reasons the Jazz stated they drafted Lyles for, Kuzma does also. Granted he is about 3 years older when they were drafted, and Kuzma is still a month or two older than Lyles. So maybe they say they still believe enough in Lyles that Kuzma isn't clearly better and just redundant at best.

But Kuzma does those Lyles things on court in basketball games... I think they have theoretical similarities for sure. I think Kuzma won't get abused on defense like Lyles does.

I think Kuzma has better feet, but he will have similar problems, at least early on, with help defense, rim protection, and getting bullied by stronger vets.

I think he's stronger than Lyles, but agree he still struggles. Lyles seems to offer no resistance... then when it is already too late reaches in for a cheap and one foul. I don't think Kuzma gets bullied as hard.
