Lebron's minutes have been curtailed and Brandon Ingram and Lonzo out for the year. They need to sign JLIII to professionally finish the job. Bye bye Luke. Nice knowing you.
Magic and the GM made so many terrible decisions. They spent $12 on KCP, $9 on Rondo, $4.5 on Lance, and $3.5 on Beasley. That's $29 million on terrible deals. If they would have given Julius Randle $15 for one year, they would probably be a playoff team this year. Such awful, awful GM work.
If he becomes unhappy, I definitely would pursue Kuzma. Imagine the amazing good press if he demanded a trade and put us on top of his list....

You are probably right. We have picks and space. If there is a 3rd team who wants Exum or is looking to shed a contract, then we might have a chance. We have zero assets to get the likes of Kuzma.
I think there’s a solid chance no legit FA goes there. Kyrie might be the only one tbh.
I think Durant stays or goes to NY.
I think Kawhi stays or goes the Clips.
Maybe Klay goes to the Lakers? Maybe Butler or Kemba?

Those were for superstars, so...I'm going to disagree with this. Kuz has had a bit of a down year and he's been included (read: featured) in two trade packages that were all but laughed at. It might be possible to get him at a fair price. Not likely, but possible.

Honestly, I can totally see Kuzma wanting to come back here.Go get Kuzma back to Utah where he belongs. Pair him next to Gobert and Mitchell. Mix in other ingredients, let simmer, enjoy!
How do you know that "he doesn't want to be on a small market team"? There is no way anyone can say he does or doesn't.He doesn't want to be on a small market team and the Jazz have nothing to trade him for.

Kyle and Donovan have become really close, Kuzma went to the ESPYS to support Donovan and Kuzma even worked out with Mitchell IN the Lakers practice facility. Hell, Kuzma went to the UofU so he obviously knows SLC.
As for the Jazz having nothing to trade for him? I'ld happily give the Lakers 2 first rounders for him, the Lakers could use them to try to get Anthony Davis this offseason. As far as talent? The Lakers could use Joe Ingles, but Joe is a Jazz lifer, no deal.
Well I would predict that the Lakers are going to trade some/all of their young talent this offseason to try to get another player to run with LeBron. Besides, Orlando is a mess, I wouldn't want to go to Orlando either.
I get the Utah connection at least though, and I absolutely don't think the Lakers get any closer to a deal for Davis with two Utah 1sts which both project to be late 1sts over Kuzma.
