I actually think next year can be anyone's year (within limits of course). Hear me out.

KD and Kyrie could bounce to NYC. Making the warrior very vulnerable.

AD will be stuck in pelican land for the year.

The Lakers will still suck balls.

The wolves will still be horrible.

The clippers will probably get Leonard and be tough. That puts them, us, blazers, warriors, and clippers in the 5 in the west. If we can get Kemba or Jrue alone. We could do some serious damage next year even bringing back next to everyone else.

Ingles, korver, niang
Favors, jae
Gobert, favors, a cutout.

DedEx will be our "free agent" signing. Financial flexibility will reign. Organic growth will be touted. Well bring back pretty much the same team, with rhetoric around Niang and Allen breaking out.

I really hope I'm wrong but this has been the M.O. we've been hearing it for years now. I hope it's more a result of people not wanting to come here but I'm beginning to think it's really about DL playing it safe. Field a playoff team, sell tickets, rinse and repeat, and never take that difficult risk.

I hope they mortgage the farm and throw everything in on some big names. Even if it means we fail in the attempt, or get something done and make the team worse, at least we will have tried rather than settling for the treadmill.
