Miye Oni can play the one

His vision was the best of all the players, he can handle the ball, had good passes and knew the plays. He has more technical skills than Dante Exum.

Why is it that people will watch scraps in the Summer League go up against other scraps and excite themselves after watching one game and think he has a chance against NBA vets? And this example is atrocious! Is this a joke? He scored 2 points and both of them from the free throw line in 26 minutes. He missed all 3 of his field goals attempted. Whats wrong with you? Do us a Derrick Favor and don't reproduce.

i've experienced enough summer league games to know that often the guys with the most promise do really badly at least early on because they are trying to change their games to become nba players instead of staying lungy one demensional players with no upside. i will reference morris almond like i have seen so many others mention latley. scored tons, no nba potential because he wouldn't change. i don't mind bad play from the jazz's future players as long as they show they are willing to learn, and trying to run an offence in a summer league game definitely qualifies.

What makes me laugh is how some people after one summer league game write off a player's chance to make it in the NBA. The summer league and G-league are to develop your players. I think saying some guy cannot make it in the league after one summer league game is just as bad as saying a guy will be an NBA player after one summer league game. Jazz fans are overly critical of players if they don't instantly scored 20 pts in summer league. Oni seemed to be reluctant to shoot but he had several moments on defense where one could see his potential.

You know what, I am going to hold off my criticism of Oni for now. For the sake of the Utah Jazz finding that diamond in the rough, I hope they do. I did have high hopes for him when I saw the Jazz added him to the Summer League roster and this being his first Summer League game, he could've let his nerves get the better part of him. I never said that he should be written off after his God-awful first Summer League game, but when I see #whatthe starting a thread and saying that,

after his one and only NBA summer league game. Yes, I am going to say something. His good passes got him 1 assist. As far as more technical skills than Exum or anyone else, it's one game. He doesn't need to go out and "instantly score 20 pts in summer league" (as you stated) for me to be satisfied. He just has to go out and post something better than a -32. HE POSTED A -32!!! Do you know how HORRIFIC that stat is? I have high hopes for him because of what he did in college. But if it doesn't translate against summer league competition, than IT DOESN'T MATTER!
