Players coming into town?

The other day I heard someone say that after Labor Day the Jazz players not busy with FIBA would start coming into SLC to get ready for training camp. Can't remember if it was Locke who said it or if I heard it on Spence Checketts' show where he was talking with Quin Snyder.

Haven't heard anything yet but at least we're getting close. "Only" 27 days until media day.
 
I was flying home from LAX last night and saw Dante Exum walk by. I said Dante and he turned and looked and I kind of awkwardly said hi. He was on the 8pm flight to SLC.

While I'm at it -- this was the interview with Quin Snyder. I don't normally listen to Spence but I enjoyed this.

 
A bit of news on this front from Locke:

"... it's getting close to time. A bunch of the guys are coming into town this week. Um, so the younger kids have been in town for the majority of the time. They'll continue in town here for a little while but they are here. And then obviously we get the three guys playing international ball here for a little while and then we will have coming, uh, Conley will be in town. Bojan will come in town. Jeff Green will come in town and we'll begin to see the semblance of this thing all coming together. They kind of just do open gym; what actually happens is ... around the NBA these guys have all been playing games and runs and you've been seeing them in various places out and around and about. Well what ends up happening is the college kids go back to school and they actually don't have places for very good run anymore. And so what they do is they end up coming back to their NBA gyms and getting with their NBA teams and working out in that setting ..."

Basically a lot of words to just say the guys are coming into town. But it sounds like some of them have been here longer.

I'm curious how things will go in open gym with Rudy, Joe, and Donovan not there yet. The roster is so different this year most of the people in open gym will be new to the team until FIBA is done.

Spence Checketts has a show again? Does he have to blow into a tube before he goes on the air to make sure he hasn't been drinking?
