The verdict had just been reached finding him guilty of kidnapping and conspiracy. The judge then handed him 30 years for each to run consecutively.
For those not familiar, this guy was cheating on his wife with a waitress around the Myrtle Beach area, the waitress later got pregnant and once he found that she was pregnant he and his wife conspired to kidnap and kill her.
The thing that got him caught was a CCTV footage of him at a payphone calling the waitress at 3am to come out and meet him in a desolate location and that was the last anyone had seen of her.
They didn't charge him and his wife for the murder as the body was never found, but 60 years is as good as a life sentence at his age I think.
