Unwatchable Jazz slop!

This game was virtually unwatchable from a basketball perspective....as the Jazz offense was once again totally discombobulated with p-poor shooting, no plays run, and enough turnovers to open up breakfast at the McDonald's! Compared to last years offense headed by Rubio, this years offense looks more like a YMCA squad on Saturday afternoon! It seems to me that letting Rubio and Favors go may have been a BIG mistake! Maybe we can get them back before the trading deadline passes? Our defense wasn't all that terrible, although our 3 point defense left a lot to be desired, and our turnover total was inexcusable! No way I'm pony up $17.00 per month to watch this Utah slop!

I suggest you watch a replay of last season game against Orlando in Mexico. See how great we were with your beloved Rubio who never missed or turned it over after playing with those guys for a whole season before.

They were pretty awful ... but you have Mudiay making some really bad turnovers and Conley still unable to make his shots. And Rudy failing to finish two fantastic passes in a row from Donovan, who played great on both ends of the floor, 3 steals, blocking LeBron at the rim. Jingling was a non-factor too. Lakers played great D which made it even worse. I think they need Donovan to play more point at this juncture when Mudiay is playing with him, to allow Mudiay to become more comfortable with the offense.

Jingles was a non factor because he had LeBron guarding him.

Also - get ready for a bad game tonight. Kings are a bad matchup for the Jazz, especially after a back to back. While it’s true that the Kings are on a back to back too, they are younger and used to running.

The fact of the matter is after you have won 18 of 20 games and averaged close to 25-30 assists while blowing out most of those teams you've played, it would be foolish to trade away two of the more valuable assets responsible for those 18 wins and hope it will make you better! We had an offensive chemistry the end of last year that was 2nd to none in the league and was setting records in easy baskets, dunks and a very fun team to watch! I don't know who talked management into unloading Ribino and Favors and signing Conely, but they should have there head examine about right now!

The Lakers didn't play great D. That's what's sad. The Jazz turnovers were just bad plays, not the Lakers being great. How many obviously telegraphed passes were made? I saw at least 2 replays where you could see the defender going for the steal before the ball even left the passer's hand. That's terrible. Green kept driving at players already in position. At least half a dozen turnovers came because someone drove into trouble and then just decided to throw the ball into a crowd, praying for something.

The Jazz beat themselves last night. It wasn't the Lakers playing elite defense.

Mudiay telegraphed those passes, he's not a good passer.

The Kings are a lot younger than the Jazz and could be ready to run. I’m hoping the Jazz will win, but I’m remembering how silly they made the Jazz look last fall.

@JimLes - you are right. The Lakers defense wasn’t great. The Jazz offense looked like it had a bunch of people running it that weren’t familiar with it. Conley rarely turns the ball over, but last night he seemed lost at times. We have to realize this is a new role for him. He’s used to being a ball dominant creator. People were out of place, you can tell they aren’t used to playing with each other.

@carolinajazz - did we watch the same Rockets series? Two years in a row? I agree that the Crowder/Rubio offense was humming and fun to watch, but it wasn’t getting out of the second round of the playoffs.

How is it possible that Jazz fans weren’t expecting some hiccups at the beginning of the season??? Did you forget what happened the last two years? Snyder runs a complex offense and has to create new habits in his players. Just wait til January. This offense is going to look amazing.

We could have added a couple more 3 point shooters, kept Favors and Rubio and made it out of the 2nd round this year!

You need to check your facts. I’m pretty sure Ribino is still on the team and I can’t find any record of us signing Conely.

So you want to compare the end of last year to the start of this year? Why not compare the start of last year to the start of this year?

Obviously, this was the Jazz we were hoping to see all along. Of course, being red hot from the 3 point line sure helped out a lot, and our defense was pretty stout again to say the least. Our hot shot from Indiana was a joy to watch and shoot! Our next few games seem winnable to me, so this years start is going to be much better than last years start, that's for sure. They duplicate what they did tonight, I may invest in League Pass Jazz games only!
