What's new

Game Thread May 10, 2021 08:00PM MT: Jazz at Warriors

Added to Calendar: 05-10-21

It's so annoying how even when the Jazz had the ball and the lead, you just knew they would find a way to screw it up.

How many games have we had this season where we rally back into it, and then the second we take the lead, we immediately make losing play after losing play. At least 4 in the last month alone (Lakers, Wolvesx2, tonight).

The fact that Phoenix gets their toughest games on the2nd night of B2Bs after we play them on the 1st night of those B2Bs kind of sucks.

Was Gobert fouled on the rebound that led to the Curry 3? It seemed like they hacked the **** out of him, but they never showed the replay of that part.

Clarkson lost the game for us.

Then won the game for us.

Then lost it again for us.
This.
In the end and on the whole he played great. I can't complain. 41 points on 50% shooting.

He missed a big free throe (on the tech) and the last couple possessions but he did single handedly bring us back.

Just watched the replay. Royce was as open as you can be
With Royce's tendency to choke on both ends I wish he wasn't even in the game.

I don't know why he decided running to Draymond at halfcourt instead of finding Steph was a good decision. Only cost us the game, but it's not the first time he's choked on defense in the final seconds to rob us of a win.

I like how the refs swallow the whistle after the jazz lose the lead at the end. Actually it started on the missed Curry three and nothing called on the rebound.

Yes. I just watched it again. He was fouled twice. First he was pushed in the back and then hit in the wrist and forearm while trying to grab the rebound. Big time missed call. That should be reflected in the 2 minute report

Not really. This team plays hard. Game wouldn't even be close with either DM or Mike. You are not giving enough credit to a tired team that fought all the way back from down 18 against an inspired GSW squad.

Did you expect we were going to screw it up against Denver too?

Ehh. They aint callin a loose ball foul on a rebound late in the game unless its egregious. Rudy had the ball for a moment it felt but unlucky it slipped away. Just unlucky.

The possession where Curry hit the 3 to take the lead is so frustrating on so many different levels.
Reminded me of the 1997 finals game 5 when Kukoc got an offensive rebound over Malone because he was lazy, which ended up in that MJ 3 that put the Bulls up with a minute to go. Just so unnecessary due to lack of discipline...

What are you smoking?

He was playing denial on Curry and he got smoked. If you want to blame that defensive possession on someone it's either Rudy for not securing the rebound or Bogey for running at Kevon Looney at the 3pt line then not getting back into the play to help out on the Steph/Dray 2-man action leaving Royce on an island.

Even if Royce is 0 for his last 20. You just gotta trust your teammate. Like Jordan trusted Kerr.. damnit bad memories
Plus there was still 6 seconds left on the clock. IT would have created a 2-on-1 between the GSW defender and Ingles/Royce. Royce would have probably swung it to Ingles for a lightly contested 3. If the defender pre=rotates to Ingles he would have had a wide open driving lane.

I re-watched it and i'm not sure I really agree. He mostly just overshoots the rebound and it goes over his head so he's reaching behind himself trying to grab it. Not sure Looney hits his wrist.
