Draft season is upon us!! Let’s forget last nights cricket chirping during the draft with a draft of our own.

2022 all time nba draft instructions.

10 rounds, modified snake draft (eg, 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12 if 12 participants)

Each participant must draft one player WHO WAS DRAFTED within each of the following eras with their first five picks...in no particular order:

*79 draft and prior

*1980 draft through 1989 draft

*1990 draft through 1999 draft

*2000 draft through 2009 draft

*2010 draft through present seasons

For the remaining five players needed to fill out a roster, participants may draft players from whichever era they want.

NOTE: WHEN DRAFTING, PARTICIPANTS MUST STATE THE SEASON FOR THE PLAYER THEY ARE DRAFTING. THERE IS A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1986-1987 MJ AND 1996-1997 MJ. And oh yeah, state the entire season the way I just did. Don't say '88 MJ. Say 1987-88 MJ or 1988-89 MJ so the season is clear. Moreover, a player only exists once. I can not draft '97 MJ while someone else drafts '88 MJ. Lastly, to be clear, just because you are drafting a certain player based on their actual draft year does not mean you are getting that year’s rookie version of the player. You must state the version of the player you are getting though by stating the season.

Each participant has 24 hours to make their selection. Try to make it as quickly as possible, or message your selection to someone not in the draft for them to post, if you're about to go to bed or something.

This is illegitimate because darft wasn't mentioned even one time.

Another idea for the sim league: trades. PM the person you want to trade with, and if you both agree announce the deal in the thread and I'll make the adjustments. I'll also add available free agents if you want to pick up somebody if one of your players go down from injury.
Too much micro-management involved in both of those (assuming you're talking about mid "season"), and, given what we're talking about, remote micromanagement at that. Hard no.

Seriously, if you're going to allow even more trades (which slow this whole thing down more than anything else) after the actual draft, count me out.

I think Gandalfe is right about this one.

It's really not. We can set up trade stipulations.

I can tell you never did one of those Season Ticket sim leagues back in the 2000's. You'd have a conniption fit over what all went into that.

But we can just do the draft and do a sim til trade deadline. Teams make their trades at deadline and that's it.

It wouldn't be so bad if we turned this thread into a sub forum on the site.

Btw if you never used to play Season Ticket sim leagues back in 2003-2005, you missed out! It's basically what an 2k online Association mode is now that covered each analytic of each player in the sim.
