We could be the surprise team in the west if we just tinker with what we already have. We have talent. We have potential.
No reason to tear it down just to lose on purpose just to have a 14% chance of winning the lottery.

We have DONOVAN MITCHELL and ROLE PLAYERS. There’s a reason the jazz are trying to blow it up. If Don and Rudy and much better players couldn’t contend, why would Mitchell and these players and a little tinkering do the trick. We need to hit a couple home runs in the next upcoming drafts and a whole lot of tinkering. We are a long ways off from contending as the team stands. I’m done with just being Relevant and thinking if we’re relevant long enough we might accidentally walk into a title. Not going to happen. If we keep doing what we been doing, that’s the very definition of insanity which is what we’ve exercised since the end of the Stockton and Malone era.
It’s time to flip the script.

2nd round this year with tons of cap space next summer. I'm not one for ever losing on purpose. Just not how I'm wired.
I have faith in Coach Hardy. In these young guys. I think Vanderbilt could be a perennial all defense type guy who can defend almost all positions. Beverley is going to forge a new edge of competitiveness. Beasley is a good player.
I think we are dangerous. A wild card.

I think we have to attract a great free agent to win a title. I don't think we will ever attract a great free agent if we tank when there really was no reason that we had to.
Losing is a culture. Once that's the culture, it's extremely hard to turn it around.

No, the funny thing was, there was much less focus on the negatives of Donovan.
You may not realize but you are essentially challenging all of us to say negative things about Donovan all day every day because of your overly defensive and illogical support for him.
You are the number one motivation for negative Donovan comments.
