Trade up? What are you willing to give up?

Lets say Wemby is off the table. Spurs will just not trade out of that pick. What about the other prospects? What's the absolute most you would be willing to give up in order to secure those prospects:

- Scoot?
- Brandon Miller?
- Amen Thompson?
- Ausar Thompson?
- Cam Whitmore?
- Taylor Hendricks?
- Jarace Walker?

Any others you'd be willing to give more than a 1st for us to move up for? You can use any and all picks we have available, both our own and from the Cleveland and Minny trades...

We know Ainge has made some insane offers in the past(4 1sts for Winslow) so it's not completely out of the question he makes a push for one of those players... Who do you think is most likely target if we do try to trade up?

That seems like a wild overpay to me. 3 spots for two extra picks? Must have crazy protections on the other pick at least.

Nah, I think it's fair. It's crazy how much teams ask for, for their lottery pick. I think Orlando would be asking for 9, 16 and future 1st for 6 honestly.

It varies from draft to draft and depends on who falls. I don't think your original price is off... If Amen or Cam were there it would be something I'd entertain.

I think Scoot is the guy I'd trade the most for. I think they'd want players instead of picks though. And it would likely depend on if Hendricks, Ausar, Walker fell to #9 to make that pick more appealing to Portland. #9 plus two future unprotected picks from the Cavs or Minny... but they would likely need to already have a deal for a player with those picks that they could execute.... so needs another team in the deal. The challenge there is if a team is trading a player for picks... then why wouldn't they just cut us out.

I doubt Kessler is established enough to make Dame happy... It would likely have to be Lauri to make them happy. I'm not sure we can go there.

Lauri straight up for #3... (reportedly Portland will have the pick up for sale)

Would you do that for Scoot? Would you do it for Miller?

I don't think I would do it for Scoot... def not for Miller.

I think Portland would need a flashier name. So I'm thinking it is like Siakham and #13 for #3 and Nurkic plus salary fodder. Pascal can be extended but has an expiring deal.

Detroit and Orlando are trade up scenarios we may have better luck with... going from 9 to 3 is just a huge jump. 9 plus an unprotected pick to Orlando for #6 is something I'd consider if Amen or Cam are available.

This is the million dollar question. I haven’t watched either Scoot or Miller play, but if you think one of them will be great, and you can hold onto 9 and 16, maybe you go all in on the rebuild this year. That would give the Jazz a lot of young talent under salary-controlled contracts for a long time. I love Lauri, but if you believe you can get real guy at 3 and good to decent rotation guys at 9 and 16. Seems tempting. Plus then you likely hang onto your pick in 24.

I need to watch all those more thoroughly. I'm not ready to commit to any trade after watching just highlights :D

yep, another consideration here...

I don't think we will move up from 9... I could see us moving up from 16 or 28. I honestly think we should strongly consider moving back from 9 to 12 if OKC will give back the pick we owe to do so.

Orlando is in the best position to move up to #3 with Portland.
