So WUJ was fired in January because a losing team wasn't competitive enough? The Wizards were never built to win. What was the urgency to dismiss a coach before the trade deadline on the morning of a back to back game on a losing team that was never meant to go anywhere? The FO could have waited until after the deadline /all star break / end of the season. It seems odd to fire a coach of a losing team in January because the players are not serious enough.
1st Half
At this game!!! They gave a free Jordan Poole towel too. Not used to seeing the wizards lead by almost double digits
Love the quick timeout for not getting back down court on defense after a made bucket. All about keeping em accountable.
We got crushed on the boards 29-17 for the half
This Kuzma-Poole duo is painful to watch: brick after brick, silly turnovers and no D.
Man, I can’t wait until we have some quick-reacting athletes to snag more rebounds, they are just destroying us on the boards and 2nd chance rebounds.
2nd Half
There is no way a player can be as bad a defender as Poole lol. It's honestly impressive.

First loss for our new head coach - Brian Keefe.
He is more involved in every play - on offense and on defense.
There isn't much he could change few hours into his new job (though he was assistant coach of WUJ, so he knows some of things and WUJ's decisions also based on Keefe's work).
John Collins looks really well in the center position, though I doubt we can call it that way - it seems like the Jazz play positionless with the line consists of Lauri, Simone Fontecchio, Collins, Dunn and Saxton.
This team is so irrelevant. If they were the Bullets at least there would be a little history left. Wizards was the worst name until Commanders. Just as little success.
Bro really thought he was going to get his first win as a head coach … keep dreaming

The Wizards were never quite able to get over like a 10 point hump this game. It was a 10 point game till the last 4 minutes and then the Jazz with the fresh legs and 2 days of rest blew this game open. Wiz competed but just didn't have enough fuel left in the tank. Here are my 5 takeaways from tonight's game:
Kuzma had an OKAY game tonight. 26 points 6 boards and 6 assists for the veteran Swingman tonight. He had an atrocious night from three shooting 1-8. He did much better staying in the paint and attacking the rim and taking mid ranges. He was money from all of the above except the three point line. Three point shooting has been something he has REALLY struggled with as of late. Glad he got a "good" scoring game him in after his recent slump, but that three point shooting has to be FAR better than it was tonight. He's taking the right shots, they're just not going in. Shooters go through slumps so if i was Kuz I keep putting in the work and keep shooting the right shots with confidence.
We had an atrocious night shooting from the field today. We didn't crack 50% from the field and shot less than 24% from three. It wasn't the best night for us shooting wise. Seemed like none of our shooters could buy a BUCKET from three. It was pretty frustrating to watch, but it happens to the best of them. Only 7 three pointers tonight gave us a very low chance of stealing this one. Second night of a back to back with being competitive. Guess this is to be expected. Guys had tired legs and were putting up short threes.
Starters actually kinda cooked this game. JP had 18 points on 6-12 shooting and he shot pretty well from everywhere on the floor. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I really want JP to attack the bucket, because he has a lot of crafty moves and has an underrated paint game. He really needs to understand that it's far better and efficient for him to attack the bucket than taking the dumbass three pointers he's taking right now. Hope the new coaching staff can emphasize that to him, because I think that will be key to his development and coming out of the slump and shell he's currently in.
The offense kind of just came to a grinding halt in the third quarter when the bench unit was in. The bench has been killing it as of late but they didn't even have 30 points tonight. To have a chance every night, bench needs to get at least 35 points nightly. Bagley III was the only who got it going and he had 14 points in limited minutes. Again, I'm guessing the usual scorers off the bench like Kispert and Shamet and Wright were tired from the previous night's close game.
We were getting out hustled and out classed by the Jazz in the rebounding game. They got 52 rebounds and we got 35. John Collins of all people killed us today. It was kind of sad to see because he's not even a known rebounder. He's just a known athletic wing, not a rebounding threat of any kind, but obviously has a career rebounding night against us. #SOWIZARDS. Seemed like there were a lot of times where multiple people were going up and we lost the ball. Lot of friendly fire with people going for the boards. They also got most of the 50-50 balls which was a bit annoying. Either way, it was a fun game, and it was clear the guys were gassed so I'm not too concerned.
Overall, it was a fun game. Not the big numbers (except from Kuz) that we want to see from our guys, but it is what it is. Shoutout to Gaff and Bilal working their asses off on defense. 4 blocks for Gaff and 3 takeaways for Bilal. Love to see it. I'll see y'all on Saturday when Bagley returns to Motown for some revenge on his old team (hopefully). OR in classical Wizards fashion we'll get cooked by Gallo and Muskee. Take your pick. One thing before I go: **** KELLY OLYNYK. NEVER FORGET.

Poole/Kispert/Coulibaly/Avdija/Gafford (or Bagley if we can get a good deal for Gafford) after trade deadline plz ... Kinda hard to hide Poole and Kispert .. but you probably have Coulibaly guarding guards.

When the coach gets fired we enter the blame the players half of the rebuild(which hasn't started). After the trade deadline when the 30 point blowouts are constant its all peace and quiet. All the fake twitter analysts disappear when they finally realize what a rebuild is.

Jordan Poole is quickly becoming my most disliked NBA player of all time. Everything about his game is infuriating. He plays with no discipline, no situational awareness, lazy on defense, and generally doesn't look like he cares.
the only player i’ve hated as a Wizards killer more than Olynyk is Lebron in his first stint with the Cavs

even though we gave up 64 fricking points in a half, I actually think our half court defense in general has looked much better. We just can't seem to hit a ****ing shot right now and its leading to a lot of easy transition buckets for the jazz.

The rebuild is going to take at least five years. The team is going to be terrible for a while until some of the future picks will hopefully develop into something. There's no point in keeping Kuzma on a 10-15 win team. Instead, gain picks to increase the chances of becoming a good team in the future.
I wish Kispert would get on Keyonte George's diet plan.
Lauri M can fetch more the Kuz in a trade if Utah does move him. Dude has been legit this year
