Wth is wrong with the Clippers?

Now some are saying Terrance Mann could be included in the Bridges S&T.

Imagine giving up on Mann to get Primo, KPJ and Bridges in the same team? Are they turning into one of them anonymous support groups?

They said "eff it... we are cursed and everyone hates us... we will fully test karma and see what happens" Would be hilarious after declaring Mann untouchable forever if they sent him out in this deal.

Golden State is either making moves so they aren't pathetic or they are making moves so they actually have a roster with an outside **** of contending with Lauri

Can't tell

I would much prefer them taking on Lauri without adding rotation players to their roster. Makes me less excited about their picks.
One thing that I also came to think about is that we saw that Lauri as your best player can lead you to being a .500 team. So the "once Steph gets old they are toast" argument kinda underestimates Lauri. Danny had to shoot the wheels two seasons in a row to secure a top 10 pick. So should we somehow expect that GSW with zero incentive to tank would gift us better picks?

So here is a new hot take theory.

The Rental:
We trade Lauri to GSW for their draft future and few young prospect (you name them). Then 3 years from now when we have drafted three top 5 prospects and GSW is out of gas and fumes, we give them their draft picks back to get Lauri back home.

GSW gets to contend for 3 years and we get the star that loves to live and play of the Jazz back once we are ready to compete. We lose 3 years of having the guy, but gain a few young prospect and any picks we are able to cash in before we refund the rest. We can also at that point probably throw them a few young guys as we are gonna have too many anyways.

I'm guessing GSW wouldn't be trading for Lauri if they didn't think they could sign him as a free agent next year, but it isn't guaranteed. Best case scenario is that Lauri decides to leave next summer, which would be pretty great for us.
