What's new

Game Thread Oct 25, 2024 07:30PM MT: Golden State Warriors @ Utah Jazz

I really wish we still had Donovan. Keyonte is Trey Burke 2.0. He's not a point guard at all.

It's 12:30 and I am in the third quarter. Tough to see myself catching the rest of this game. Its exactly what I need. More sleep and more tank.

That JC/JC/PM lineup is highly effective. It's like Hardys Panzerkampfwagen Biltzkreig. Ainge is getting exactly what he wanted.

I wasnt thinking Hardy is "in on the tank" in any other way than maximizing development of our key youngsters.... but holy hell that first sub felt like intentional clipping of the wings.

The first 7 minutes was us absolutely dominating them, and then the 2024 post ASB Jazz appeared to take over the rest of the 41 minutes.

Also how many hand grenades did Sexton throw to Lauri and how many times did he not pass when it was the correct thing to do in the flow of the game? I lost count.

Man the Jazz are bad which is good for the tank. But the lottery isn't won by the team with the worse record anymore. Our young guys are limited offensively but have shown some promise on the defensive but the Jazz have few players who can create shots on their own. It is going to be a long and ugly season.

We're such a poor ball handling, passing, and decision making team that if teams press us we are going to struggle.

If we play a team and they aren't pressing us hard, then they aren't being serious, so we can expect it almost every game. Then it's just a matter of how tightly the game is called. We could get lots of whistles and shoot a ton of free throws, or not get the whistles and get blown out. Doesn't sound like a very fun year.

As usual Hardy is going to Hardy with the vets. In a game like this I'm not sure how Flip only gets 4 minutes but not shocking with Hardy running the show.

Kind of interesting statistical coincidence from the game last night

4-17 Lauri
4-13 sexton
4-12 key
4-10 Collins
4-10 Clarkson

5 players with 4 field goal makes

Kessler and eubanks were the only players (12 guys played) over 40% from the field.
Both Kessler and eubanks were 1-1 lol

Jazz also have a lot of guys who need to stop the ball and wait a few beats before making decisions. That's the thing this team needs to clean up the most, just making quicker reads.
