Fraud in Minnesota (and everywhere else)

I posted this as a CPA that can read/understand these types of audit report findings and tried to put it in context with my initial post. If you have a conservative led state involved in a fraud scandal related to federal funding, I'd be happy to look that up too.
I'll be honest, while I appreciate your attempt to put it in context, and while I did gather you knew how to read this info, it read to me something like "there were 23 frauds and I've never seen that many frauds on an audit before, this is the most fraud that has ever happened." It really had no meaning to me. Seemed a bit like sensationalizing a situation I came into this thread feeling like had already been over-sensationalized. And I wonder, am I supposed to care about this fraud when our nation's leader has normalized fraud and letting fraudsters off the hook. I don't mean that as a whataboutism. I mean that normalized behavior that our President has been convicted of, then not punished for, then elected to a second term after, am I really supposed to believe that fraud matters anymore?

I'm honestly NOT willing to start with a Democrat fraud issue if we're going to start caring about fraud again.

So those who have bought into this very biased and filled with misinformation story about this new massive fraud with all these evil Somalians and Waltz. Do you not believe Trump when he says he is trying to punish his opponents and states that didnt vote for him? Are you okay with thee damage being done to kids over this? Do you care about Kids?

How about cutting funding from Colorado to look for "fraud" and "illegal aliens" with 0 evidence? Should we just cut all funding for kids across the USA and try to see if we can find any fraud and see what happens?

Trump is already responsible for killings thousands of kids around the world why not do it in the USA, whats the difference? Or is it okay in Blue states just not Red? Should we divy up the red states by cities as well?

Why stop with kids? Lets go after more! Like cutting funding to womens protection around the world... Oh wait...

**** anyone who isnt a Trump Loyalist! Also some Trump loyalist need to be scape goats and dont fit the actual mold of what he cares about so **** them too!

You may be onto to something, that sounds like a political action plan for the future!

But they were eating the cats and dogs though!

Someone recently said that if trump cured cancer then he would still get criticized for it. That is partially true. Because the thing is, if he cured cancer then he would only give the cure to people who voted for him. Or only to red states. Or he would sell the cure only to billionaires.

Yes exposing government fraud especially in blue states untimely only benefits republicans somehow. You don’t think taxpayers and blue state taxpayers can benefit from eliminating fraud in their state? You tds retards are so ****ing stupid it’s embarrassing.

To clarify, the audit report didn't report "23 frauds". They reported "findings", which are noted instances of non-compliance in spending or administering federal funds. Could be something as simple as submitting required reports late, not following the budget, etc. More important than the number of findings is the context of those findings. The findings MN had related to not monitoring organizations they were sending money to was the biggest red flag to me. The fact that this finding is still present in their most recent audit report when this fraud has been known for years is unbelievable.

I did look up a handful of states audit report to see how many federal audit findings they had. Arizona was 14, California was 20, and Florida had.............I kid you not......60!

Thanks for the clarification, that makes sense. And frankly, I am not surprised by any of these findings. We are playing the fool if we choose to believe that huge pools of money like this won't encourage some bad actors to play games with the money. And given the current administration's playing fast and loose with the federal coffers, it is probably encouraging to anyone who thinks they have a chance to dip in that bucket and get pardoned for it or ignored. In short, it is likely to get way worse before, and even if, it gets better.

Proven and convicted fraud. Not supposed.

I can't tell if you are being sincere and acting in good faith in this thread.
I'm genuinely acting in good faith.
I used the term "supposedly" because, first off, Trump was not the focus of this thread and others brought him into the conversation. Second, my inquiry to ChatGPT asking if DTJ has been convicted of fraud answered "Short Answer: No". It mentioned him being convicted of falsifying business records, which has nothing to do with the topic at hand - fraudulent use of federal (taxpayer) funds.

When a state is administering hundreds of billions of dollars in funds passed from the Federal government, it's unreasonable to expect every dollar to be spent efficiently. I do wish these audit reports got a little more exposure so that the general public had a better understanding of how our taxes are being utilized.

Don't even get me started on the Department of Defense not being able to obtain a clean financial statement audit. They have nearly $5 TRILLION in assets (supposedly). Our entire country should be up in arms about that and I guarantee it involves more wasted federal funds than anything we are talking about here.

Also had a fraudulent university. Plus a fraudulent charity. (he isn't allowed to have a charity anymore). He used money from the charity to pay off Pam Bondi, who was the state attorney general of florida at the time, to stop the florida investigation into trump university lol.
This is who our president is.
