2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

So with the Trae trade(no pun intended), Sarr is basically receiving the full Jazz Rudy treatment. Stting at the rim and expected to stop everything because he's paired with 4 traffic cones out there.

The Jazz should go out of their way to help Atlanta acquire Anthony Davis (as long as it’s reasonable).
Hawks and Raptors are the two main suitors per sources.

Anyone interested in acquiring RJ Barrett in a three-team deal? Send out Nurkic or Anderson/Niang.

I don't know, there is some risk that you don't know what Tatum will look like when he recovers. I think Boston being way better than expected and the East being wide open this year makes the trade more logical, but I still don't think Boston would even consider it.

It's weird people are still underestimating Lauri after seeing what he does every night. His own fans no less.

Lauri plays for a crappy, tanking team. Tatum plays (or played) for a team where he's surrounded by talent and experience. He's a jump shooting Robin without a first step who couldn't carry any team by himself. I like Tatum fine for what he is, but let's not pretend he's some superstar.

Funny, I thought he was the first ever Larry Bird Eastern Finals MVP. He was the top scorer and rebounder for a championship team. So what if the target was Brown instead?

So what team has Lauri put on his back and carried to a winning season, since that is your criteria that makes a target worth going after, and what makes Tatum terrible and Lauri great?

Ainge would've sold high if he's still there. But I doubt Stevens would do this trade. I don't think Ainge would do this trade for the Jazz either.

I think Tatum is one of the most overrated players I've seen in recent memories. The guy lost FMVP AND ECF MVP to Jaylen Brown. And they are doing just fine without him this year. He will never win a MVP in his career and now he's not even the MVP on his own team. Plus ACL is no joke. Even though it's not as bad as achillies, but many players only came back about 70% to 80% of what they were before the injury.

Tatum was considered a top 8-10 player in the league before his injury. Also, Tatum's injury was a ruptured achilles, rather than an ACL.
