2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

Wizards were definitely one of the "this team may get irrational with Walker" teams. I think the only one that would get stupid that is left is Chicago, but they are traditionally fairly cheap. So I think it will be 30M or below on the offer for Walk. If say Indiana wants him... they have to work with us on a trade. So we are in a good spot now that AD nuked Wiz cap space.

Curious if the Jazz make any additional moves. I would like them to keep Kessler and Nurk. I personally have liked Nurk and he seems to fit in with the team. I am not sure you can keep him next year but I would love to see him sign a 3 year deal (about $6M per year).

Maybe the Jazz move Nurk and rely on Landale as the back-up center along with Flip, behind Walker K. If the Jazz move Nurk, what can they get?

One guy I have always been intrigued by is Josh Giddey (solid passer / rebounder).

That's something of a shocker IMO... but surprisingly, White is already gonna be 26 in a week. Not exactly a "youngin" anymore. As we've seen, teams are reluctant to build around small scorers who play no D. Keyonte's negotiating team probably doesn't like this trade one bit as they get ready to ask for large amounts of money.

I guess Sexton will go back to his traditional role as an entertaining tank commander for next season.

Have not confirmed with him but Ben Anderson seemed to hint to it too. I think you can basically guarantee it.

If all you could get was the 29th pick this year and a fake first (not sure if there were seconds or good seconds in there too) then you can see why we passed.
Wild that we turned down a package for Walker that nabbed Anthony Davis. Walker is going to be back.

Sexton has had the worst career luck.

Sexton has two things working against him: his well-earned rep as a tank commander on several teams AND the fact that his player type (undersized, no-D SG) is more unpopular than ever.

Plus, he's already 27, so right at the cusp where jitterbug guards like him start aging in dog years.
