Stan basically gave the finger to Dwight and the Orlando organization. We all knew he was gonna be torched. He just finally gave them the finger. I don't blame him. This Dwight circus and 5 game losing streak would have pushed anyone off the edge. Quite frankly, I'm surprised he has lasted this long.

Orlando looks dysfunctional. You have an ownership that is bending backwards to keep a superstar that clearly doesn't want them... You have friends in the organization leaking info to the coach... Just a mess. Who would want to work or play for them after this?

Dwight? Looks like just another spoiled brat player who wants to jump ship to join some mega team. He is toxic. He looks like an even bigger douche hugging his coach, denying everything, and then waving for the Knick fans to cheer after his team had barely gotten blown out at home. Orlando should refund all those Magic fans from that uninspired performance tonight.

^^^ Totally agree. This is what happens when you don't say "No" at the correct time. Dwight could have just played his game and done the job he is being paid for, but instead he works behind the scenes like a politician. Who are they going to get that is a better coach than SVG? Whoever they put in there will not have power over Dwight.

Doesn't this make you grateful for how KOC treated the Dwill situation? Granted, it was far from perfect... But we got so much more out of Deron, didn't look nearly as dysfunctional and pathetic, and have a much brighter future than Orlando.

I would be surprised if Stan has a job today... I'll also be surprised if other management heads don't roll... And is there ANYONE other than the stupid front office that thinks that Dwight will stay? I think for months basically everyone on this planet has known that Dwight wasn't gonna stay in Orlando for the long haul...

What a cancer. Should have traded him when they had the chance...

The best part of this all? Dwight Howard's really not that great. He's been in the league forever now, is probably its best specimen bar none, and can barely score 20 points a game. Pathetic. My favorite part is how he wants help, complains that the Magic have not adequately surrounded him with players good enough to win a ring and yet in the same breath, seemingly does not want to go to Chicago or the like because wherever he is, he wants to be The Man. So he really wants talent, just not elite talent, around him. He and Lebron were made for each other in their own unique ways.

Yes this makes KOC look great. If Stan is gone it doesn't make Orlando look good either since they will be taking orders from their paid player. They may as well declare him GM.

I switched the TV to TNT last night and it was right after the Orlando game and right before the Chicago/Boston game. They were tlaking about this topic. All 4 of them (Shaq, Kenny, Barkley and what ever the other guys name is) were all pissed about D Howard and how he played. They said they can point to countless times on tape to prove D Howard did nto compete he gave up. The singled out defense, his picks, rebounding, hustle...they just blasted him.

I never want a player that I think quits like that on the team. I hope Howard rots in Orlando the rest of his career.

The press conferences with SVG alone are worth him being a head coach. He has a decent humor and gives detailed answers to questions a lot of times.

I honestly cannot believe he hasn't been fired yet...

How interesting it would have been if JVG had been broadcasting the game last night? Hopefully Jeff does a game tonight. He has never had a filter and it would be interesting to hear what lil tidbits he has on this issue.

This is a very good post.

What's funny, is that Orlando has made SOOOO many moves to try and impress Dwight to try and keep him.

Here's an idea, perhaps instead of asking for more talent, Dwight actually develops a post game? Just hitting 70 percent of his FTs would probably bump his scoring percentage up around 8 points. It would probably get the magic at least 5 more wins.

If he ever developed a Shaq-like post game in this tiny NBA, he could dominate scoring 35+ points a game.
