If Blake Griffin ever chose to play in Utah, he would become the greatest PF in the history of the league and they'd have to replace Karl Malone's statue out front.

LOL. His "totally awesome" numbers are about Malone's averages (less scoring than Malone) over 15 years. I dont think so. Same with Nash and Stockton comparisons..I think people forget, or werent around to see, how great those two really were.

In akirac73's defense, Malone's rookie numbers weren't close to Blake's. But you're right, Scorp; uninjured and sustained excellence over an entire two decade career will be tough.

I'd rather wait to line up with every team in the league and sign-and-trade for Blake Griffin. He'll command the max just like Howard and all 30 teams will be gunning after him just like Howard.

But unlike Howard he has a polished offensive skill set and can operate quite well outside of 10 feet.

I doubt we have a solid chance at either (that is to say, a 1/30 chance) but I'd rather gamble the farm on getting Blake.

He also doesn't defend. Griffin is a less-polished Boozer with a TON more athleticism, and I don't say that as a compliment.

Until something changes, championships start with interior defense at the 5, not with scoring at the 4. But having what appears to be the next great big wouldn't be the worst thing either (to say the absolute least, obviously).

Dwill and Dwight are probably best friends after their time together on the Disney channel. Sounds like it could happen.

Griffin is going to put up a decade of numbers that rival Shaq in this prime. I'd pretty much trade anything we have for him. But it's not like you can go wrong paying Howard anything he wants, either.

Anyway, KOC has situated the Jazz very well to build around Deron. Deron's not going to want to leave 18 million dollars on the table in a more restrictive CBA when the time comes. As an added bonus, the Jazz go into 12/13 with tons of flexibility to either retain our own guys or sign FA's. Basically, Deron can pick the team he wants and, gasp, even recruit guys he wants.

The Magic have a better shot of stealing DWill.

I like how someone without any semblance of balls neg repped me without signing it and said in response to the post above, "I think you do this just to troll."

No, actually I do it because it's the truth. Salary cap/LT positions aside (I didn't know Orlando's LT situation and later admitted I was wrong and I'll admit now I should have looked it up in advance), the chances of DWill going to Orlando are about five times greater than Howard coming here. Everyone knows it. At least anyone with half a brain.

Yeah, I still think you're up in the night. But it's all conjecture. I didn't neg rep you.

Other than having more black folks, Orlando is a swamp and really has nothing that makes it more desirable for an NBA player.

This is besides that Magic "fans" are pathetic. But so are the Heat's and that didn't stop douche and vag from signing.

Orlando is going to try to make trades to keep Dwight happy. They need a PF though, someone with a mid-range game. They're a bunch of spot-up long-ball shooters.
