    State of the Jazz

The only things on your list I agree with are 2 and 5. This is only a crises if you panic as you are suggesting. A more optimistic view is it is a rebuild, and with the pieces on place, the foundation is there to become competitive gain pretty quickly, and very good in a couple of years...

Which player under contract for next year already plans on leaving after this season is over?

I would be happy to have AK at a savings of $12M per year from his contract this year. He is a valuable player... just not for $18M per year.

Will Jazz fans be patient long enough?

Remember the SA Spurs who tanked it twice and ended up with The Admiral and Duncan. Think long term folks... The Jazz are building a nice core of young, very good players. The future is bright.

Corbin may be good assistant, but must be not good coach

The future has gotten brighter over the past couple of months, but the present is going to suck for a while. The Jazz are rebuilding. Look at the pieces they have to build around. The albatrosses ore on the way out and the young core is solid. Bad this year, better next year, and a contender...

    Bell's Comments After Being Benched

I think Ty handled this thing fine. Raja, on the other hand has made himself look a bit silly, and possibly hurt his own situation a bit. Make your case on the court, not in the papers.

Enes Kanter works out for the Jazz

No.. It means some of those other guys will be gone. (Okur?) Kanter would be a project. A good gamble, and a worthwhile project, but a few years from really contributing.

Could have gotton O. J. Mayo

I know there will be many opinions on this, but I think Millsap and a pick would have been an overpay for Mayo. I really like Millsap's game with the Jazz, and see him as a cornerstone going forward. The rotation we saw tonight with Elson and Favors backing up Millsap and Big Al looked good. I...

Could Have Gotten O. J. Mayo for shooting guard

I know there will be many opinions on this, but I think Millsap and a pick would have been an overpay for Mayo. I really like Millsap's game with the Jazz, and see him as a cornerstone going forward. The rotation we saw tonight with Elson and Favors backing up Millsap and Big Al looked...

    The End

There is only one champion each year. Every team is looking for a combination of players that has a chance to win it. Some realize they are a few years away, and are looking for progress. Others think they are a player or two away, and keep looking for that last link or two. Every team wants...

    Did the Jazz Mess up?

Every time, DWill said "That's why I only signed for three years" he was telling us he had no intention to stay.

Do we have another trade in us by 3pm ET ?

I understand that Millsap would bring the greatest return, but that is because he is the more valuable player. My opinion, if they can't trade Okur, AK, Bell, Price, or Elson... Stand pat. The rest are, and should be part of the future.

    Did the Jazz Mess up?

Either way.. Franchise tag or not. The Jazz are and will be respected for not allowing these guys to play them like a fiddle in their personal pursuit of fame and fortune. I predict that there will be more, not less of the kind of thing the Jazz have done here. By doing this, the Jazz seized...

4 Power Forwards on 1 Team?

Yes I have. Is this now or in the future, the same team the Jazz have put on the floor the last 6 years? I think this problem will turn into a strength.

4 Power Forwards on 1 Team?

Half Full or Half empty? Lot's of flexibility with these guys on the team. Potential to mix and match and create match-up problems for the other team. Get the best players on the floor together and design a system to take advantage of their strengths. I just don't see this as a problem.

Deron learned about being traded by watching sports center?

Posturing????? Not sure I believe this. Sounds like the kind of thing that is said by one party to make the other look bad. I am quite certain he had an idea it was coming.

The Jazz are trading D-Will to New Jersey!?

I agree with this. The Jazz have gambled on some players for the past few years... every team does. Sometimes it works out, often it doesn't. There is only one Champion each year, meaning it usually doesn't. It takes guts to say, we have backed ourselves into a corner with contracts for...

Same guy for $10M per year less.... Go for it.

in a espn chat someone brought up the following

Has anybody noticed that rookies who are looking like stars generally play for losing teams? Any thoughts about how good they would look on a good team like the Jazz?

Does Al Jefferson perform better on the 2nd night of a back-to-back?

What's amazing to me is that the Jazz have 4 wins on the second night of a back-to-back already this year. In past years that was pretty much a guaranteed loss no matter who they were playing. If Big Al is the difference in that situation.... great!!!!
