Here in Norway it is 19.28 on midsummers eve. I have no idea who I want the Jazz to draft, but I know I am going to root for the ones that end up on the team.
I have been following this thread for a while and just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed. You guys help me fellow my...
The salary fluor is why I can see us giving Clarkson a big stort term deal. Something like 2/50 with the 2nd year being a team option would get us closer to the floor, make him happy and give us salary matching for the next good player who wants to be traded.
We have so much cap space for 2024/25 that we could easily fit in another max if we wanted. I could actually see us giving Clarkson a huge short term contract just to have him as matching salary. 2/$50 with only the first year being fully guaranteed and maybe $5 million guaranteed for the second...
That only applies to normal extensions where you under the new CBA can increase the salary by 40%. With an R&E you can go up to the player's maximum if you have the cap space for it.
I`ve been thinking about this for a few days and tried crunching some numbers. Next season`s salary cap is projected to be $134 million. Projections for future years vary wildly, but with the new cap smoothing regulations in the CBA, I use fixed 10% raises for these calculations.
If Lauri plays...
When you trade a player, I think the rule is that you either have to wait one year or until his current deal expires until you can re-sign him. The league made this rule when Zydrunas Ilgauskas was traded from the Cavs, bought out and re-signed with the Cavs in a matter of a couple of weeks IIRC.
Exum played a lot more games than Fultz did on his rookie deal. Fultz has shown very little and will have made way more than Exum when his current deal is done.
The two wins against the Spurs were more important than they mught seem. The Suns close out the season with two games in San Antonio. Us beating them twice and the Pelicans winning means that the Pels now have a shot at beating out the Spurs from the play on. The chances of the Spurs having to...
A four year deal with partial guarantees for the last year is the way to go, IMO. If you start him at $12 million on an ascending contract, you can guarantee 6 out of 15 million for year for to give him $45 million guaranteed. That would leave just over 9 million unguarnteed for the last season...
For a player with 7+ years in the NBA, 30. Anything over this is regarded as a super max. As long as Rudy signs a deal that is $1 over 30%, it is regarded as a super max.
Nah. It has to start over 30% to be a super max, but could theoretically decline by as muh as 8% each year. As long as the deal starts at over 30% of the cap, it is a super max deal.
We`ll see in the next few days what the details are. Rudy and his agent get this day to tell the world that...
I don`t think it is thay easy with Mitchell not being a top draft pick. He has not made mad money yet and if he were to suffer a horrific injury next season, might not ever do it. I think it is a very real possibility that he demands the max at the earliest opportunity possible.
Are we absolutely sure about this? No trades have happened just yet. If the Jazz renounce Rubio, Udoh and Thabo while not guaranteeing Korver, I see just around $20 million in space. This is enough room to sign Bogandovic. Favors has to be added to the Conley trade to make this happen as we will...
The trade is not happening until July 6th. This roster below is the one we take into FA if we renounce the cap holds for those 3 players. I see now that I made one mistake by forgetting about Crowder. This ****s up my whole premise since only 18,31 million is left in cap space.
Gobert...
