    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

I’m still hoping for a deal with San Antonio after they decide that Lauri is their best, most affordable option to contend - while still mostly keeping their draft asset treasure chest mostly full.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Pacers have built an amazing roster full of scrappy, competitive guys. (TBH, I think New York does too.) Do the Jazz even have ANY players like that on their roster right now? If they wanted to build a roster like that, who should they go get?

    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

I’s be fine doing it for swaps. The Bucks just don’t have assets, and there’s always the potential that a swap hits big. Any increased value in our picks down the road is good business. There’s a risk for sure, but the Jazz aren’t getting a big trade without taking back terrible salary that...

You can only pick one, who would you put 2nd Team All-Rookie? Collier vs Filipowski

I liked Buzelis a lot. He was who I was hoping for tbh.

You can only pick one, who would you put 2nd Team All-Rookie? Collier vs Filipowski

Collier missed out to Bub for the last spot by 1 vote. Also, I really wish DA would’ve taken Maya’s Buzelis. I’d feel a lot better about the state of the Jazz if they would’ve taken the taller, more battle-tested player at 10 last year.

Who Do You Prefer Among Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson & V.J. Edgecombe? (Poll)

Keep banging that drum. Jazz should scout him extensively regardless so Washington doesn’t get cocky and trade up ahead of the Jazz. Don't ever make it obvious who your top target is.

    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

Yeah. Haven’t really seen anything to suggest that he’d be a negative locker room guy. Also, I’d immediately give him permission to speak to other teams about a trade IF they can find a package that brings positive net value to the team. Philly might not dangle him to add assets, but Utah...

The Jazz have found their magic formula to build.

I’d never suggest that my method is perfect, only just one way of doing things. I honestly don’t think the Jazz are even that terrible right now. If they weren’t deliberately trying to lose, I think they could easily flip their position and at least make the play-in round. They chose a stupid...

What grade would you give Ainge for his draft selections?

I’ll give him a solid B. I wanted any of Black, Walker or Coulibaly in 23, but they were gone and DA didn’t want to burn assets moving up. Hendricks was my highest rated player at that point and I think it was a solid pick. Keyonte gets a lot of hate, but he’s one of the better players from...

The Jazz have found their magic formula to build.

The fact that they played patty cake with it initially instead of embracing it in the first place means that they haven’t had an identity since before they traded Mitchell and Gobert. I personally HATE that they made the trade with OKC which has had them handcuffed the past 2 seasons plus now...

2025 Playoffs Chat & Chill Thread

Can’t believe the Jazz didn’t sign him way back when they had him in for a tryout. Dude would’ve been perfect DL Jazz material. Imagine him on the perimeter when Gobert was in his prime.

The Jazz have found their magic formula to build.

That’s probably correct. In fact, my guess is that the only major difference between how it is and how it could’ve been is Coulibaly or Black vs. Hendricks (assuming the Jazz failed to jump inside the top 4 either time.

    Utah Hockey Club?

I’ll be curious to see if Utah becomes a legitimate hockey town. I know that the return on investment looks good so far, but what happens when they’re not as competitive? Will they still bring in fans like the Jazz continue to do?

    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I thought he looked good in the Olympics for the Bahamas team. If I draft him, I’m banking on the athleticism, upside and work ethic helping him succeed. He is a little older than the other guys, which is why I have him 5th. Usually, I can’t say “I’m happy with whoever is at our pick”. . ...

Who Do You Prefer Among Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson & V.J. Edgecombe? (Poll)

Also, the quote I attributed to Ace Bailey actually wasn’t Ace. It was Isaiah Collier - Isaiah Collier on his draft stock: "For me, I still think I am the best player in the draft. I know what I am capable of, so like I said, it’s just being true to yourself."

    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

It just depends on how you do it. Trading Lauri likely brings back 2-4 players to match salary. The Jazz could easily consolidate Collins/Sexton (and maybe Clarkson) into a single guy - which is even better if it’s a guy like Dame who is likely to miss next year due to injury.

Who Do You Prefer Among Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson & V.J. Edgecombe? (Poll)

Which is how it usually goes that high in the draft. It’s rarely based on what they actually did as much as it is based on what the organization thinks they will become as a part of their team.

Who Do You Prefer Among Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson & V.J. Edgecombe? (Poll)

For me, I think it’s Ace, Tre and then Edgecombe. Also, I like all three a lot and would be happy with any of them. I have no problems with Ace’s overconfidence. Like really? I don’t care about that. I want the guy that thinks he’s the best player in the draft - regardless of where he’s...

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

No, but he’s easy to include in a trade for salary matching purposes. Someone can easily think they can get more out of him - just like Agbaji.
