I don’t think that San Antonio is giving up the #2 pick. They might be willing to drop back and give up value in a draft that looks to have a solid top 5 prospects. . . especially if they get a win-now piece to go along with their top 5 guy.

Giannis is going to cost significantly more than one great draft pick. There’s a lot of skepticism from Spurs fans that they should trade the pick at all. My guess is that Giannis ends up in Houston, the Spurs pivot to Lauri but want to keep a top 5 pick this year, so they offer to swap 2 & 14...

It’s kind of fascinating to see two teams in the East that are likely going to make the finals that are unconventional teams built through unconventional means. It’s way harder in the West, but the Jazz should be paying close attention to how these teams go about their business.

I don’t necessarily disagree. I just wouldn’t use a top 5 pick on him, and I think it’s more reasonable for the Jazz to move up slightly for a guy like Bryant or Fleming (or Demin.)

I like him, but I think I like Carter Bryant and Rasheer Fleming more. He’s up there with my top hopeful targets with the 2nd pick.

Washington’s young guys have potential, but they haven’t proven anything more than Collier, George and Filipowski. Also, I think Keller is the only young guy on either team that has really proven to be valuable at this point.

Me too. I definitely want at least two guys from this draft - plus a couple of draft and stash guys in the 2nd round. Ideally, I’d like to see the Jazz take their top rated guy out of Bailey, Johnson and Edgecombe at 5, then move up from 21 for a physical freak like Carter Bryant, Noa Essengue...

I don’t think it helps this team tbh. They need this pick to be a key guy and a top pick out of the next draft - that means tanking hard again. They should do the opposite of that and trade away their established players if they can.
