The sportsbook sets the original line entirely based on roster and how competitive they believe the team will be. Then adjustments are made as money flows in on one side or the other. That is how sportsbetting works. Pretty simple. Since you seem to think 28.5 is artificially low with the Lauri...
It's a shame you aren't capable of critical thinking. Since you are so confident that this number has a possible Lauri trade baked in what do you think the over under should be with Lauri?
You don't gamble do you? They set the line at what they believe is the correct win total and make adjustments as the money comes in on one side of the line or the other. They don't base that line on if a future trade may happen or not.
The beauty of Flagg is that he projects to be very good defensively and that doesn't rely on anyone but himself. Even Simmons with all his mental issues shooting the ball was an all world defender prior to his back injury.
I know that but it's based on the current roster. They are trying to get equal pay on both sides of the line. Cy is saying that they are hedging the wins lower because of a possible Lauri trade and if not it would be higher and that is definitely not the case.
I put it around 80%. He may never be as good as him offensively but defensively I think he will be an all nba defender pretty quickly. Offensively I don't think he will be a go to scorer type but he should still be very good on that end of the court. That is one of the reasons I like Ace Bailey...
The lakers were a borderline play in team last year and they will likely be that this year. Strictly from a talent perspective they are at a similar level to last year. I do like the addition of Knecht and he should give them decent minutes right away.
The west has the potential to be significantly better this year though. I expect those bottom 2 teams in the west to get beat up quite a bit more than they did last year. As it stands right now the top 13 projected teams in the west as a whole this year looks significantly stronger than last...
Bottom 5 for me. As we currently stand a 9-10 tight rotation is going to have at least 5 very young players. Where do you have us currently in the western conference? Right now I think we are locked in that bottom 2.
