The article makes the argument. Plus JC is a calming presence especially with Mitchell is known to be uptight and demanding. But yeah may not want him back.
Cleveland may be enticed to get their 2025 pick back which I may do that deal. 3 rookies again? and we can shed one in the late 20's...
JC has enough magic to win you a few games unexpectedly. The Cavs would love him. We get a young Uber athletic but flawed player. Maybe we can revive his career but I don't think it adds wins in the short term. It kind of hurts our pick prospects in the short term but long term it is neutral...
Dang it, Hardy has just enough (barely) to do something. Add this signing to a well rested/leveled up Lauri, Sexton, JCx2, Walker and we could get some early wins.
Dang it all...
You could lower the cap more with that trade with Sac and then look at Okoro. Okoro can't shoot so it helps with the losses this season. You do it for Okoro if you feel his shooting will improve. But all his others tools are great.
Get Ingram and wait and decide next summer on what to do. Maybe trade him next summer, maybe resign him. I just like getting off of the Collins salary.
Also, mess with the roster construction hardcore so that there is no rim protection and you only have rookies + sophomores in your guard...
No, they could have messed around with 10ish million without impacting the Lauri deal. We far exceeded the available cap to do the Lauri deal as evidenced by the 4 mill
I am just a Internet troll in some form or another. You can make your points but I can squawk away too. I don't have all...
No, they could have messed around with 10ish million without impacting the Lauri deal. We far exceeded the available cap to do the Lauri deal as evidenced by the 4 million he left on the table.
No 15 million as far understood it to be. If Lauri took 24 million the first year it would be 11 million. But whatever Lauri took less money his first year for a reason. Again this is a guess, but Cy wants to get worked up by that then be my guest. :). Lol
Not necessarily. Or maybe they don't if want to avoid being crippled by the apron then maybe they just let him go. He is a bad shooter but young and could get better. But yeah I guess they may want to do a sign and trade if they feel they are losing out. New CBA may lead to situations like this.
It's just a guess but the Jazz have been signaling to other GM's that their extra cap is not available for dumps. So we have been guessing what their scheme has been and this has been one of the guesses.
