It's corrective. Just because it hits Utah where it hurts (NBA free agency) doesn't mean he should keep it private.

I agree with this. I think his opinion of Utah, including his personal experiences, will have a huge effect on the Jazz' ability to sign and keep American players, and superstar players. To one degree or another, it's going to make Ainge's job more difficult.

I don't think Ainge cares how much Atlanta values Collins. He'll make his offer, and they'll either take it or leave it.
Taking a look around the league the past few years, it seems pretty clear that some teams are perfectly fine metaphorically nursing cancerous tumors and other similar type...
