    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

If Demin could win multiple rookie of the year awards the Jazz should move up to get him.

I'm not a Malauch guy at all, but I feel like you would need to find a way to trade up and get him if he was at 14. I may be wrong though.

What Would it Take to Make the Playoffs?

There will inevitably be at least two teams that you have penciled in for a playoff spot completely fall apart like Phoenix and New Orleans did this year.

If he could shoot 36% from 3 as a rookie like Hood did, then, yeah, he's the guy. I wouldn't' hold my breath on that though. . .

Apparently he is over there making BYU a powerhouse. He might be busy. . .

I'd ask for our 2029 Cavs/Minny Pick back for starters. We would need a secondary deal to consolidate some young players. I also wonder if this was on the table if the rockets would just cut Phoenix out of the deal.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

This is Austin's fault? What a weird take. . . I think a bigger deal is that players generally don't like Thibs and his meat grinder. For the first time in forever, that Knick job is really attractive., They are looking for an upgrade and will probably get it.

Jazz hire Celtics Assistant GM Austin Ainge as new President of Basketball Operations

If we give up a #10 pick next year, I don't really care. We have sooooo many of those type of guys. It certainly wouldn't be the end of the damn world. The BEST place to be that you can absolutely control is a "treadmill team" with plenty of assets. We are not "giving away a top 8 pick." If the...

Reading this it occurs to me that Houston is going to have a big salary matching problem if they want to trade for a star. No team trading a star wants 2 more years of Dillon Brooks at 20 million per. That is the only move Houston has.

There is a lot of noise about them wanting Demin too. I think they are happy to see what falls.

I'm not sure I can see a way where the Sixers shed George but somehow keep the 3 pick. That contract has 3 more years on it.

If we draft Tre (which looks pretty likely) I could see value for us to get up to 13 with a trade if the Jazz had someone we really, really liked there. I wouldn't pull that until I see where the board is at 12 though.

He's not a max player, and that is actually attractive to teams. I think he fits in nicely to that Malik Monk slot going forward. That is a good pick at 16.

He's a better player than Dalton Knecht. We have an idea what Dalton's value is and it is more than the 17th pick in the current draft.

Meh, I don't think Kessler was actually ever on the market. If the Jazz wanted him gone, he would have been gone. There were enough teams that wanted what he brought. The Jazz weren't letting him go for even a fair offer. I think he could have been had for a "we can't turn this down" offer, but...

I mean most "draft experts" probably have more life experience as a slow, dumpy white guy than almost any other group in society. Game recognizes game.

Honestly though, my dream is that we traded Lauri to get the #3 pick outright and drafted Tre AND Kon. My thing is that I think I could name a lot of the high level shooters in College drafted in the lottery who didn't pan out. I cannot even begin to name all the folks who needed their "shot to...
