Maybe it did. Stockton never really learned to shoot the 3 until AFTER he became a starter and his outside shooting was exposed. I also think he lost a step by the time he hit 29 or 30. So, we only got to see 4-5 years of Stockton with his great quickness. I think it sucks that we lost out...

In the NBA GM world, future 1st round picks are the equivalent of liquid assets in the finance world. They're the easiest thing to trade or bundle with other assets in a trade. Everybody wants them. I don't care how many we already have, I'd be happy to get another in exchange for TB at this point.
