This roster is too flawed to justify "running it back" imo. I've said it before and will say it again. Excellent regular season team as seen by the record but is not built for the playoffs as seen by what has happened in the playoffs. If it was good enough to justify running it back then this...
If push came to shove and we HAD to trade Don. I'd want something comparable to what OKC got for Paul George or New Orleans got for AD. A **** ton of firsts and a few young players with high upside.
I should've prefaced this with that I want Azubuike to succeed in a Jazz uniform but if you can somehow get a top 20 pick out it I'd probably do it. But I can't help but think DLs entire thought process of taking Azubuike where he did was the hopes he'd become good enough sooner rather than...
The more and more I think about it the more in I am on getting Kuzma (as long as it's on the cheap/getting future picks coming the Jazz way).
He certainly doesn't lack confidence that's for sure.
My hope is that a team likes Azubuike enough that you can package him and 30 to move up. In a vacuum I don't dislike the Azubuike pick but when you take into account Rudy's contract + adding Favors and it becomes an awful pick.
JT Thor being mocked in the early teens to the 2nd round. I'm convinced he's either going to be out of the league in 2 years or a future All-NBA player. No in between and I want the Jazz to be all in on him.
Listened to Gordon Chiesa's segment on 1280 from yesterday. They asked him what the Jazz need to be looking for this offseason and it's the exact same player archetype's we lowly forum mouthbreathers have been saying for years. Long, athletic though guys who can defend or guys who can go get you...
I'm coming around to the Kuzma idea. Being on a team with LeBron mixed with being in LA everyone is expected to be an all-star level player. A change of scenery might be exactly what he needs. Swapping out Bojan for Kuzma lowers your floor but potentially raises the ceiling for the future if he...
What other FO positions need filling? Haven't kept track of who has left their position other than DL. My assumption was Zanik is fully taking over GM/Basketball operation duties and that's kind of the end of it.
I've always had this feeling about local media in that you're almost not allowed to criticize ownership/front office for the Jazz. It has this feeling of "well you have a NBA team in your state and they don't completely suck so you aren't allowed to bad mouth them" Being as I've never lived...
If the Jazz bring Conley back there needs to be some shift into how the roster is played during the regular season. Quin and Zanik need to be on the same page with the end of the bench/rotation players giving them more playing time during the regular season because come playoffs time Conley...
Reminds me of a bigger version of Niang. Wouldn't hate it if he ends up being the Niang replacement on the cheap and to come in and be an end of the bench guy
