It just feels like this roster is in purgatory. Haven't been impressed by Zanik/DL roster building in recent years.
Age of the roster isn't the biggest issue IMO it's more to the fact that the players on the roster just doesn't lineup with that of a title contender. When the team lost Favs you...
I think Quin wants to but can only do so much with the players he's given. You can't go positionless with so many slow and smaller players. You need athleticism and size and then there's the question of Gobert. Can you go positionless (for the most part) with a player like Gobert on your roster...
The issue isn't fans getting loud at games. Players know fans are loud and support them when they are playing. The problem is people aren't cheering this loud and supporting them when it comes to them bringing up real life issues. In fact there's a decent amount of fans who are doing the...
What is this weird vendetta you have against Donovan? Like did he kick your dog or something? Do I Think it would be better if he was in SLC with the rest of his teammates? IDK maybe. Do I think he's frustrated with the entire handling of the virus? IDK maybe. Do I think he should be talking to...
It's easier to find defensive minded centers than it is good wings. Replace Gobert with Favors and guess what? This team is just as good so please for the love of god please stop posting. I get it you love Gobert but he isn't the second coming of Christ.
The average PPG for a team in the 2003-04 season was 93.4. 11th lowest all time. You could get away with having a defensive minded team and still win it was the exception not the rule. And guess what? Ben Wallace still wasn't the highest paid player on that team.
No one is denying Gobert is a VERY VERY good player but you don't win championships with Gobert being the highest paid player at almost 40 million a year. He is too limited offensively to make it work. The only way for paying Gobert max/super max AND compete for a championship is a few things...

This. I’m not saying I want to move Rudy. I would much rather see both of them succeed together in a Jazz uni. But if push came to shove and you absolutely have to choose 1. I’m taking Don and not thinking twice about it.
I'm not saying Mitchell is Stockton just making the comparison that they are both undersized. You can be undersized and still succeed. I agree Donovan NEEDS to become more efficient but what is more likely to happen? The 23 year becoming more efficient? or the 28 year old center developing...
People seem to forget that one of the statues sitting out front of the arena happens to be of player who was undersized as well but that doesn't seem to matter.
If a championship is the goal (and it 100% should be) Paying a limited skilled center who good teams can easily scheme around in the playoffs almost 40 million a year isn't going to be the way to get there. You trade Rudy sure you might have to go into a mini retool for a year or 2 but guess...
