Dame is still at the top of his game, and likely has at least 2-3 more years at this level. Look at the contracts just given out… he is worth that money. The Jazz with Dame are contenders next season. If not him, you have to either hope a rookie hits it big or another disgruntled super star...

Come on folks - I had to like a YoungJefe post. Talk sense. This isnt about Kessler vs Embiid… it’s the opportunity cost of us spending our assets and still not having a great playmaker / scorer. If we get Embiid for Kessler straight up with no salary considerations we all take it and run.

While I would love Embiid we’d still be a primary ball handler / scorer away from competing… and if we had one of those we might be competing with Kessler anyways.

If you can make a big splash… you do it. Otherwise we are rolling out a pretty good team that will be fun to watch. No reason for meh trades in my mind.

If Clarkson is on the team he will start. Not much of a question really. Who will run with him is a better question.

The rookies won’t get the immediate burn that people are hoping for. They will start off slow and will get their shots as injuries occur.

At this point you have to suspect that the Jazz front office doesn’t like you… right? :)

Very happy with this… good defense and shooting that should mesh really well in a Lauri / Walker lineup.

Just that I believe young guys get better faster when the opportunity is greater. Nothing against the Kuz. Unless KO gets moved I think he will also get time at the 4 and Lauri will play the 3 to take advantage of certain matchups.

It all depends on who we draft with our top pick in my mind… if we draft a guard then Kuz away. If we draft a forward then I’d prefer not to put our prospect behind that financial commitment.

Just shy of $20m seems to be his market. Go to realgm and you will see there isn’t a lot of respect / market for the guy.

Out of the two I’m going Bilal as well. They are both lengthy athletic freaks with poor shooting. But, one is more than a year younger and has a chance to be an even more lengthy athletic freak.

The twins scare me… but then I think of spending capital to move up and I’m not sure who I’d even pick. I don’t envy the Jazz front office this week.

Do people really not think the Jazz tanked to end the season? They just messed it up and should have tanked a week earlier plus they didn’t expect THT to blow up and blow the tank for two games.
