Awful first halves for Trey and Ingles... Hayward will be fine after a slow first half. I anticipate he finishes with at least 20. I'd also like to see more of Burks, Hood, Hayward on the court together.
Joe Ingles is awful. I don't understand why Coach Quin plays him. He is awful on defense and sucks on offense. He reminds me of Raja his last couple years here.
Detroit is coming off a win that they controlled big time over the Atlanta Hawks last night. I can't decide how to read into that. Either way, the Jazz can take the win tonight if they don't turn it over and keep Drummond off the offensive glass.
Warriors looked great last night and the Pelicans won't be a threat if they aren't healthy. If New Orleans is without Evans, Holiday, Asik, Babbitt, etc. for a long time, that's one less team the Jazz will have to battle with.
I can't wait for the next two days. Last season started so bad. I hope the Jazz come out of the gate on fire this year. I think being on the road early will make them be extra focused. 3-0 to start is realistic imo. The key to the Detroit game will be not allowing the Pistons to score off...
I still have a soft spot in my heart for D-Will, so if he has a resurgence this year then Dallas should be real tough assuming Parsons, Matthews (wasn't a Jazz man long enough to earn my loyalty) and Dirk are healthy. It is actually pretty crazy how fast injuries derailed D-Will's career and how...

Jazz Bear is ready...
Denver will be the worst team in the NBA this year, but it was great to see the Jazz look good besides Hayward getting in foul trouble. Time to see what the Jazz are made of!!!! Let's go!
Coach Quin said Jazz will approach tonight as the first regular season game. If Trey Lyles gets another DNP-CD, I will be sad but I trust Coach Quin and the process. Things are about to get real. I cannot wait to see how the Jazz do.
You nailed it. It definitely is going to be a process but Coach Quin is the guy to lead us there. Even if the Jazz have a some tough stretches this season with 4, 5 straight losses - I will feel comfortable as a fan knowing that they're headed in the right direction. Can you imagine Tyrone...
Durant is the second best player in the world and is a very scary opponent. As for the Jazz - looks like Quin isn't going to give Trey Lyles any minutes early on which is too bad. Hopefully Booker and Ingles can give the Jazz good production. Otherwise, the Jazz might be toast.
Yes, these are Portland's announcers. It's funny you mention this because ever since I have had league pass, I have liked their announcers (Mike Rice especially) more than most of the locals around the league.
