    Following Potential 2018 Draftees

At this point I think there's a strong argument for trading down if a team behind us in love with a prospect and wants to trade up to get him. Someone like Khyrie Thomas, Keita Bates Diop, Jerome Robinson, Melvin Frazier, etc. will be available after #28.

    The Official Love/Hate draft thread

Because it's a more sensible composite ranking. Your ranking includes several mock drafts of people who have no idea what they're talking about and weights those as equally as guys like Jonathan Givony's mock. Elie Okobo as #29 consensus ranking? Come on, no way he falls that far. Aaron...

    Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I made a Matrix of some key mock drafts I follow where I feel like the guys making them have some basketball intelligence. I wanted to make my own thread for it, but I guess I don't have privileges to start a new thread yet. I only included players who showed up in a 1st round mock. It gives a...

    Tobias Harris?

It's not really feasible to trade for him right now, but there are two seemingly realistic options. 1) The Clippers are struggling next year and if it's obvious Tobias Harris won't re-sign, they'll likely want to go into take mode and will trade Harris for young future assets. It probably...

Windhorst: If LeBron leaves, the Cavs will make Love available for trade

Given Kevin Love's contract, I don't think Cleveland could really get much back for him. Nor do I think the Jazz should bring him and his deal on. If they did, that would basically max out cap space and be the final piece that would be added. I'd rather have Tobias Harris or maybe even Mirotic.

    Tobias Harris?

If the Clippers are struggling halfway through next season (and I think they will be), Harris could be had for relatively cheap.

Jazz 1st Round selection will be...

I think it's going to be Khyri Thomas or Divincenzo. Whichever one is still on the board.

Article About Denver Wanting to Trade

If for whatever reason Favors isn't coming back, I like the idea of being compensated to take a flier on Faried for 1 year. There's a hang up here though. I believe just taking on Faried's expiring contract isn't compensating Denver enough for the 14th pick. They would likely want something...

Top 5 Targets for Summer 2018

Nice to find a thread about this. I've been compiling my own list. The list of somewhat realistic candidates of outside free agents I've come up with are, - Avery Bradley (Struggled this past season, but in '16-'17 he averaged 16 ppg, shot 39% from the 3, and was considered a lock down...

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Why do you have to lay into him like that? I enjoyed the ideas and conversation he brought. That's kind of the point of a message board.

Where else is Rose going to go?

You realize we want nothing to do with Rose? We don't want him anywhere near our team.

Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

I agree with that. If you can't see that then you no clue at all how the NBA even works.

I'm going to guess Crowder becomes that stretch 4 we wanted.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Of course I get the salary implications. Cleveland had to dump IT and the whole league knew it. Cleveland just is happy they got a piece back that can help them win this year.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

I disagree. They had to get rid of IT, they weren't going anywhere with him this year. In return they got Clarkson who can provide a helpful scoring load, and Nance who is a valuable piece and can really help Cleveland inside.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Lakers cleared $13M in cap space. Wow, Cavs may have just facilitated the trade that will entice Lebron to go to LA now that they'll have cap space to sign two max contracts.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Is Gordon worth limiting all other flexibility for the next 3 years though? If you have Biyombo at $17M/year and Gordon on a max then that's it. You're done making moves. That's your team your rolling with and you'll be limited on bench players you can sign for small deals.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Tony Jones recently said on Twitter there's no chance the Jazz would bring in Gordon even Fournier attached (who's a lot better fit than Biyombo) just because Fournier's contract is $17M/year through 2021. So you're right, everyone is afraid of contracts right now.

    Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

The reason in the end why I don't think the Jazz make a move is flexibility seems to be their #1 priority right now. Not making a move will allow flexibility this offseason to decide if they want to resign Favors & Hood and flexibility to decide to let them go and then have the flexibility to...

    Where Does Hood End Up?

If Hood were on another team doing exactly what he's doing statistically and we found out he wanted to come to the Jazz, we would all be ecstatic to add him to the team.
