    Jazz Pushing For Jaylen Brown

Not sure I love this. #5 + contract fillers, sure. But as others have pointed out I'm just not sure where that leaves us. Brown + Lauri (at ~28 y/o each) plus mediocre players around them doesn't put us in the top half of the West. I would have to hope it would be the first of a few...

    Jazz Pushing For Jaylen Brown

Low-key love what Boston is doing. Get as much value out of the aging nucleus you can and re-tool around JT in 2026-2027.

Just listened to Locke's podcast from yesterday and I'm fully back on the Ace Bailey train (not that I ever really got off). There's just too much talent there to buy into the ********.

Fully expect we don't do anything big tonight. Guessing we execute our picks and the real roster fireworks happen in July - September.

My overwhelming instinct is "too small." Hard to ignore the efficiency though.

I'd be excited for Fears. Tre would be my favorite pick, and left to my own druthers I'd go Ace over Fears, but I'd take Fears over VJ / Kon pretty emphatically. He's butter with the ball in his hands and I think he'll develop as a 3P shooter (mechanics are sound, great from the FT line). I...

Who has Ace Bailey worked out for?? What is his camp "angling" for in terms of where he ends up?

Seems like phenomenal value for someone in that range.

Would agree with this. "Smaller side" sounds right. Not tiny, and his slight plus wingspan helps, but he falls short of the "positional size" mandate we are striving for. BTW - Indy and OKC are both great examples of the power of positional size.

Seeing more and more of Kon at #4. I suppose I'm higher on Kon that I was at season's end but Kon over Ace and/or Tre is just incredible to me. We're at the "overanalyzing and now we're just nitpicking" stage when it comes to Ace and Tre.

Great post. Though I'd nitpick a tad with the Tre / Herro comparison. Tre's length separates him from Herro in the "archetype" column, in my book.

This dude is a footwork / fundamentals wizard. Just like his Dad. I am praying to Joseph Smith we draft top 2 next year.

Given the growing consensus of Ace being "risky" and teams preferring VJ, I'm not sure I (personally) see a ton of value in moving up to the #3. Certainly not at the expense of 1) taking on Paul George or 2) giving up Lauri. I'd just about give up the house to move up to #2. But if VJ goes 3 or...

What would you do if Jazz draft Kon Knoepple at #5?

No option for "shrug" and pour myself a bourbon?

This Bane return has me seriously puzzled. It’s a mind *****. If he’s worth FOUR FRPs in today’s trade market we should at minimum be heavily exploring trade offers for Kessler, Lauri, and/or both.
