Serious question: Why are people rooting for the Jazz to win this year?

What does that have to do with anything I said in my post? Genuine question.

If Kanter/Burks/Favors are 76, and everything else you said you followed, your Off and Def awareness ratings are pretty off. Try using OFF rating and DEF rating on https://www.basketball-reference.com to set a general basis for those.

Serious question: Why are people rooting for the Jazz to win this year?

No I can't. The dude was huffing and puffing after 5 minutes on the floor in his rookie year. What happens if Kanter is satisfied with his 30 minutes a night and doesn't become determined to improve over the summer, as he did? Hayward hasn't played consistently until the end of this season...

I've always found it no fun to play with the Jazz. More fun to take the bobcats, kings, wizards etc and try to make them a good team.

    Tribune Article on Kanter

Kanter played for a Euro-team that does not understand what post moves are. He did not play in college. No surprise for me really.

    Enes Kanter's National Team Participation

Turkey is refusing to let him play. Kanter has no option for this season at least.

    If we play .500 ball

Prime is considered 26-27 to 30-31. Enes is 20 years old. Maybe we don't know what they are capable of, but I would hope that the people who spend day in and out evaluating games, practice, and work ethic know what they are capable of.

    If we play .500 ball

For wings and guards, yes. Big men are usually year 4 or even late ones 5. Favors - 3 Hayward - 3 (getting minutes) Kanter 2 Burks 2 Looks like we are on track.

    Enes Kanter's National Team Participation

Kanter is going to have a good NBA career whether or not he plays for Turkey. I guarantee that Kanter learned more this season, then he did in all the time he spent playing in Turkey past.

which 2 players of the core4 would you consider untouchable

Hayward and Kanter. Favors is next in line. Really depends on whether he learns that he needs to do more than keep in shape during the off season.

    If we play .500 ball

You realize we have 6-7 years before they hit their prime, right?

    Enes Kanter's National Team Participation

Turkey will come back crying probably this summer.

    hypotethical poll/discusion about favors kanter

Kanter. As happens with most bigs, as they get better on the offensive end their defense will start to lack. Kanter seems to be able to do both well.

ESPN now has Burks listed as a PG

And Rondo doesn't make his team that good. Celts were playing slightly above .500 ball this year even before he got injured. They haven't missed a whole lot without him.
