Dennis Lindsey called out Dante on 1280thezone

Chrome was warning me about the link so I couldn't bring it up either.

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

Yeah it definitely doesn't work if Hayward isn't on board. I think the impetus would have to come from Gordon and his agent themselves. If it's the Jazz FO begging him to wait a year it would never work. But if he wants a reasonable chance at the super max bonus next year, and its HIS idea, then...

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

Did you read my entire post? He'd only be underpaid for one year in this scenario. He'd be doing it to wait and sign a potential "super max" deal next off-season.

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

Yeah this would be included in this specific plan. I think it's worth it IF you know that Hayward is going to opt in and is down with the plan to open up max cap space.

    Your off season rebuild (game)

I'd consider it. Haven't paid as much attention to Harris this year, but I think we could really benefit from a quality stretch 4.

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

Yeah, it does seem like Hayward is fairly prudent when it comes to money. That definitely makes this scenario less likely. He was pretty close to making one of the three all-NBA teams, actually. He was one of the honorable mentions that received votes. Many news outlets considered his absence...

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

Mongoose, he could sign for a shorter contract and a player option like Millsap did, but he can't just opt out at any time.

    Your off season rebuild (game)

Check out my thread about Hayward if you have concerns about how it could possibly work. All of these moves together is a bit of a long shot, but I think each move individually is reasonable. 1. Re-sign: Hayward (opting in to his current contract at 16 mil) and no one else (sorry Joe!). 2...

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

I definitely agree with all of you. Especially that the risk of injury will loom over the decision. But as I stated before, it's not entirely purely altruistic for him to leave that 14 mil on the table this year. There is plenty of speculation that Hayward wants to leave for a better shot at a...

Yet another Hayward thread (but a new consideration, I think)

My apologies for starting another Hayward thread, but I really wanted to discuss this take and I didn't feel like it fit the Boston vs Utah thread. So I didn't catch the original interview but this video mentions a video interview where Hayward said that he hadn't decided if he'll even opt out...

    2017 Exit Interviews

Definitely a huge "if," but I agree.

We should move on from George Hill

I don't disagree with you in this particular argument (Re-signing Hill regardless of the impact on Dante), but in what way do you possibly think Exum has been coddled?

    2017 Exit Interviews

Rudy Gobert wants to improve on a lot of things. Work on lower body strength so he can stay quick and explosive. Big contract won't affect him or his approach to his game. He just takes it as a show of faith from the organization. He still thinks that he and Favors can still coexist. He...

    2017 Exit Interviews

Derrick Favors said he came back from injury this year at about 50-60% of his normal self. Says that he's heading into this off-season healthy, unlike the last off-season. Will keep working on post and mid game, but he feels like it's necessary to add a three point shot to his game. EDIT...

    2017 Exit Interviews

Gordon Hayward interview highlights, just trying to take notes fast. Might edit this later to refine it: Hayward obviously knew the question was coming from the start, smiling wryly as the reporter asked it. Same smile whenever the question resurfaced. Hard to think about off-season moves...

    A) That's not what I asked, and B) I disagree, but that's ok.

I disagree. He had some good moments, but he had a lot of terrible moments as well. Do you really think he has outplayed Exum so far in the playoffs?

Game 2: Utah at Golden State. TONIGHT! 830 ESPN

Yeah this is obviously called inconsistently (which is frustrating), but I love it when this is called right. A defender should have a right to his own space.

Game 2: Utah at Golden State. TONIGHT! 830 ESPN

I do think some posters have been overly negative, but I do think there is a difference between losing the series (even getting swept) and losing the series while not giving your top effort. I just like seeing high effort because I want to prove to ourselves and to the League that we're here to...

Game 2: Utah at Golden State. TONIGHT! 830 ESPN

While Green did get hot, we're definitely playing terrible. Way too much pointless dribbling. None of the crisp passing we've grown accustomed to. Getting completely lost on defense. Not attacking with the pick and roll. Etc.
