    Mo Williams

Nothing good will come of Mo getting back on the court. Nothing.

Millsap not getting traded a blessing??

I never understand this criticism. Millsap has proven he can start in the league. And he's in his prime. Who knows what he will do, but I suspect he's going to sign wherever he's the starter, not the starter until he's inevitably benched for a young guy who has to start like in Utah.

Millsap not getting traded a blessing??

Favors can learn to guard stretch 4's much quicker than he learns to score against big centers. He really needs to be a 4 if he's going to develop, although learning to run an effective PnR would help to cut some corners.

    OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

Disappointed we didn't land Bledsoe, but impossible to be angry without knowing what the Clips demands were. Hope there's leaks to the discussions. I'm very curious.

¤ Top 6 Reasons why a no trade is a good thing ¤

And my point is only that getting better players means giving up some of our darlings. It may be that we miraculously acquired the 4 pillars of a dynasty in Favors/Kanter/Hayward/Burks. I think it's unlikely, but knowing who to swap out in order to find the best foundation of a championship...

¤ Top 6 Reasons why a no trade is a good thing ¤

Not the point and you know that. It now seems self evident we should have traded a lot for Harden, but at the time most people thought Harden wasn't going to be a star player much less worth a MAX deal. The doubters were wrong. Bledsoe is a guy who wouldn't even have to be signed to a MAX...

Or you don't trade for Harden because you want to be too careful about protecting your assets.

On the flip side, trading worse players for better players always works out.

-the official Alec Burks PG thread-

I love Burks, I don't see him as being a PG. Defense is the main issue. I'm not comparing him to Manu (repeat: not comparing), but Manu can't play point. At the same time, I wouldn't rule it out and it would be incredible if he could. But I think his future is in taking the reins off to...

    Jalen Rose trades involving Al

Yeah, if they'd take Hayward off our hands it's a no brainer.

Millsap, Hayward for Granger, 13' first-round pick?

I like Granger. He's definitely not worth Hayward and Sap without an actually promising young player or high draft pick involved. I think Indy is overplaying their hand on purpose.

    How about Millsap for Derick?

Even though it's not a terrible idea, I hate the idea of trading obviously better players for obviously worse players. And nobody can figure out where Williams fits on the court. It makes sense if there is a vision for him that the TWolves haven't figured out. I definitely don't know what...

    Jalen Rose trades involving Al

It's the Spurs trade. We get Splitter, Jackson, DeColo. Not crazy, not good either. It recycles cliches, isn't practical, and not surprisingly demonstrates why no one takes Rose seriously as an analyst.

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

Hayward has more perceived value because he's more established, ie. teams know they won't be getting a dud. Opinions will differ on how much more upside he has, but there is security in knowing you will absolutely get a guy who can start. And certain teams, like the Clips, might figure they...

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

We'll see by next year. Somebody's going to get him even if it's not us and he'll play 30 plus. He won't make the Harden jump in Year 1 as a starter, but whatever extension he signs will look cheap.

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

It's not about trying to trade Hayward. It's about the various speculations that the Jazz might have to trade Burks to get Hayward. My opinion is we would be better off keeping Burks and dangling Hayward to get Bledsoe, but with the caveat that Hayward has much more trade value and thus it...

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

The biggest fear with Bledsoe, to my mind, is whether he has the vision. He's already an excellent PnR player, an excellent driver, and an excellent defender. And since he shares the ball a lot with Crawford, he's never been in a situation where he can really run the show. My feeling is he'll...

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

I think Bledsoe's floor is Ty Lawson. I think Hayward's ceiling is AK, but his floor is a very useful player like Iggy lite Burks' evaluation is where GM's make their money. I think his skill set is very similar to Waiters. They're all good players, and Hayward is the surest thing of the 3...

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

I actually think it would be the shrewdest move they could make, but let me qualify it: I think Hayward is a really good player. I think a lot of his value doesn't show up in the boxscore like AK. And for a lot of reasons, I would have no problem if they signed him to a reasonable extension...

    Millsap for Bledsoe?

The better question is if you could have two of the three between Bledsoe, Burks, and Hayward, which two do you pick? For me, that answer is Burks and Bledsoe. But using Hayward in a deal to get Bledsoe is far more complicated than just determining Bledsoe and Burks are better. And I'm not...
